Does anyone know when a new block of tickets for Hamilton will be released? I know there isn’t any way to know for sure until an official announcement is made – but I am thinking someone here might know when holiday tickets were released last year, or that they are released every X months.

 

I would really like to try making a trip during the long Thanksgiving weekend for Hamilton, Hello Dolly, and M Butterfly. I know this will be a crazy busy time (and expensive hotel) but it’s the only time off I can take. I also don’t have an American Express card, so no pre-sale for me. I’ve signed up for the Hamilton alert, but I haven’t gotten anything yet.

I can't answer your question about on sale date but I wouldn't rely solely on the Ticketmaster alert.  I've signed up for that three times (for Hamilton in NY as well as Chicago) and each time the alert arrived about 45 minutes after the tickets went on sale!  Not very helpful for a show that sells out quickly!

According to this a new block of Chicago tickets go on sale this coming Tuesday, which includes the thanksgiving timeframe.  Maybe NYC tickets will follow soon after?

That's what I thought at first too... but now I'm thinking that they might try to sell most of the Chicago tickets before the next block for NYC goes on sale. So we might not get the NYC block for awhile yet. Knowing that the alert doesn't really work I guess the only reliable way to check is just to keep checking the Ticketmaster site.

I've found that the official Hamilton twitter account has given a decent heads up for new NY ticket blocks.

In the print version of the NY Times today (we old people like to get home delivery of paper newspapers), there is a banner on the bottom of the Arts section that says a new block of tickets will be on sale tomorrow for November 7 -  March 4.  I haven't found that anywhere else but reporting for those interested.

Other people must have been more successful than I was! I had no luck on Firefox or Chrome on my desktop. Usually one or the other will work. I had to use my phone!

I wasn't trying for tickets but am apparently still subscribed to Hamilton Broadway's site, which alerted me 23 minutes after the on sale time.  Have had the same problem multiple times with TM alerts.  They really ought to have a better system!  I can understand not wanting everyone to flood the site at the same time, but for the actual people who bother to subscribe for alerts wouldn't you expect them at least slightly in advance? ????

Yeah that's really messed up.  I have tickets, but I'm subscribed to them so I can help my friends out, and this notification really should have been sen out sooner.

Thank you so much for the update yesterday!! I just saw the update this morning & I was able to plan my work day to take a quick break at 10 am & was able to purchase my ticket for 8 pm the Sat evening after Thanksgiving. I then went and purchased my Hello Dolly ticket for 8 pm on Friday night. Had it not been for this, I doubt I would have noticed in time that tickets for Hamilton had been released in time! I'm so excited, thank you so much!!
