Trump Campaign Aides Had Repeated Contacts With Russian Intelligence

"WASHINGTON — Phone records and intercepted calls show that members of Donald J. Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign and other Trump associates had repeated contacts with senior Russian intelligence officials in the year before the election, according to four current and former American officials.

American law enforcement and intelligence agencies intercepted the communications around the same time that they were discovering evidence that Russia was trying to disrupt the presidential election by hacking into the Democratic National Committee, three of the officials said. The intelligence agencies then sought to learn whether the Trump campaign was colluding with the Russians on the hacking or other efforts to influence the election."

Meanwhile a Russian spy ship has been spotted off the coast of Long Island...and not a peep from the White House.

It's in international waters so there's not a whole lot they can do.  And, we have ships doing the same thing.

And, this is nothing new 

"CNN reported that the Leonov, which conducted similar patrols in 2014 and 2015, was off the coast of Delaware Wednesday, but typically it only travels as far as Virginia.

The ship is based with Russia's northern fleet on the North Sea but had stopped over in Cuba before conducting its patrol along the Atlantic Coast and is expected to return there following its latest mission."

It isn't the Russian ship in international waters we should worry about, it's the fact that Russia deployed a cruise missile in violation of the 1987 INF Treaty and also that Finland is preparing for an imminent Russian invasion. That's what we should be worried about.

Oh, and the fact that Trump likes Putin.

In any normal political environment, that would be damning.  Will be interesting to see how this plays out.  Kudos to John Roberts.  Nice to see someone other than Shepard Smith showing some integrity at Fox.
