I'm going to be in NYC June 16-21, and I need help deciding my final two shows. I already have tickets for Dear Evan Hansen and Anastasia. I really wanted to see Hello Dolly, but looks like it's completely sold out for when I'm going. The other 3 shows I've been looking at are The Great Comet, Come From Away, and Amelie. I would love to see Cruel Intentions, but I don't think it will be playing anywhere while I'm there.

so for those of you that have seen the shows I'm looking at, let me know which ones you think are must sees :)

All three are honestly great choices! My vote is for The Great Comet—it really is quite a spectacle. I consider it a can't-miss.

I'm going to agree with my colleague - The Great Comet is a special show, and you should see it if you can. (If you weren't already seeing Dear Evan Hanson, I might have had a different opinion.)

I'd keep some room open and wait to buy tickets.  Come From Away starts this weekend; Amelie in March. Plus, we don't know what the rush options will be for Hello Dolly until it starts in mid-March so you *might* still get a chance to see it at affordable prices. :)

Remember last year, a few shows closed in May due to lack of Tony nominations and dwindling sales (Tony nominations will be announced May 2nd.)

See Sunset Blvd before you see The Great Comet.

Definitely Come From Away. I first saw it in Seattle and became instantly obsessed with it. Already have two trips booked to see it in NY along with other shows.

Definitely, definitely Great Comet.

Or maybe add a play into your mix!

Thanks everyone! I'm definitely going to do The Great Comet. Now I just need to decide between Amelie and Come From Away...

Sweeney Todd looks great too. I wish I could see everything ??

I'm also sourcing help in what to see. I'm going to be in the city at the end of the april and so far I have tickets for

Dear Evan Hansen

Miss Saigon

Come From Away

I have 4 more spots to fill and am going to keep one open in case Sunday in the Park extends for a week. I'd like to see something off broadway and a play which would leave one more spot for another musical. Don't really have an interest in Great Comet but could be persuaded. Currently am deciding between :

Significant Other

Sweat

A Bronx Tale

Gently Down the Stream

If I forget

Input would be appreciated and if anyone has off broadway suggestions I'm all ears

If I Forget is not to be missed. It is an extremely powerful play with a an extremely powerful message, and Kate Walsh is absolutely brilliant. So I would definitely do that for your Off Broadway show. As far as Broadway goes, I would highly recommend Significant Other if you are looking for a play. If you are looking for a musical I would definitely say give The Great Comet a chance. I would advise crossing A Bronx Tale off your list. I, personally, found the show to be a hot mess.

For sure, Significant Other should be on that list. People who love musicals are dying for this play. And it's unlike anything currently on broadway, and maybe that ever has been...?

Having only seen Great Comet and Come from Away, I'd go with Come from Away.  It's a beautiful, uplifting production that I can't wait to see again.  Highly recommended.

Yeah, you can definitely give A Bronx Tale a miss. Wait for it to tour and if for some reason it doesn't, it's still no tragedy.

I would go with The Great Comet over A Bronx Tale in a heartbeat. The Great Comet just has so many amazing elements, from amazing performances to an absolutely breathtaking set to a terrific score. Definitely would not miss Comet if I were you.

Sunset BLVD is the best show on Broadway now.

I'm thinking I may do Great Comet and If I forget for sure. Can get a hiptix tix for if I forget. Has anyone sat  in row P on the side at the Pels? For 25 bucks it's hard to say no

Bumping this because I'm still struggling what to fill my last two spots with (1st world problems I know). The more I read about it the more I have no real interest to see Comet. My lineup is DEH, Miss Saigon, Come from Away, Waitress, and If I forget. Would like to get at least one play in there and it's still between Significant Other and Sweat. I miss Sunday in the Park by a week. I've always had success with recommendations from this board so reaching out to my people again.

I'm going around that time and originally thought I wouldn't be able to see Hello Dolly, but try the Tuesday performance. It will be Donna's second performance and it's not sold out.

Ok so I leave next week and I'm really excited but still have a matinee to fill. I doubt SITPWG is gonna extend and with Significant Other closing I have to reasses. Current my lineup is:

DEH

Little Foxes

Miss Saigon

Come From Away

Waitress

If I forget

Currently deciding between:

Sweat

Bandstand

Sunset Blvd

A Bronx tale

am open to any advice or any other shows. Still not really interested in Great Comet

If you aren't interested in Comet, which would be my top choice, I'd see Sunset Boulevard.

Sunset.

Also consider: A Doll's House, Part 2.
