Starting a new thread specifically regarding rush and including information already posted.

TheQuibbler wrote on 02/10/17 at 1118am: "I arrived at about 9am and there were 6 people in front of me. By 10am, there were about 20 or so people in line. It looks like they're "tiering" the rush ticket prices: $99 for orchestra, $55 for mezzanine and $42 for balcony. Most people were opting for the $42. Curious to know whether or not this is now the permanent policy. "

#1Elphie wrote on 02/10/17 at 651pm: "I rushed yesterday (opening night) and got mezz seats for $42 (I wasn't given an option of where to sit, that's just what they gave me). Maybe they changed the policy after opening."

Here's my report from yesterday (Saturday): When I arrived at 1020am (I arrived late since I just missed out on rush for another show) there were still rush seats for both the matinee and evening performances. Balcony seats were priced at $42 and orchestra seats at $99 (orchestra rush was only available for the mantinee). I got a balcony seat for the matinee in the Balcony Left, Row D, 10 seats in (Seat 19). A person in front of me who went to the evening show got Balcony Left, Row E, 5 seats in (Seat 9). There were quite a number of open seats in the balcony so I moved up to the second row after intermission.

Hope this helps!

Went yesterday at about noon. Same situation as above regarding matinee / evening rush: 99 seats were only available for matinee. Bought two tickets for the matinee and were 10th row center! Fantastic seats, especially for the price.  The orchestra was pretty packed but there was a single seat next to me so apparently some seats were still available for rush.

Arrived around 8:40 yesterday and were looking for 3 tickets for the matinee. We were the 18th people in line. We were given Balc Right Row D with my seat being on the far aisle. Seems like getting there early is not necessary on this one.

Were orchestra and balcony the only sections available? Was mezzanine sold out?

I got to the theatre at 7:20pm and was sold 3 rush tickets for the 8pm show. The tickets were on the very last row of the theatre and the row was empty besides us.

Last row of which tier? I'm planning to rush this when I'm in NY next week but I don't want to spend more than the $41 for the balcony. Thanks for the update!

Any recent reports for this? I would really like to be in the mezz or orchestra for this show/venue, and am curious how rush (or other day-of discounts) seats have been. Thank you!

I rushed this on 2/15. I got there around eleven and got tickets for the matinee (weds). They were $42 each and in the second to last row of the mezz (2nd of three tiers in the palace) center. View was pretty good except bc of the combination of the balcony overhang and the palace's very high proscenium you can't see peoples faces on the top staircases (not much time is spent there though).

I rushed on 2/17 and got there at 6:30 for the 8pm show. They ran out of rush but I got a $42 seat in A26 of the balcony (was marked partial view, only missed some of the top of the stairs)

Arrived at the box office at around 12:30 today after missing out on rush for another show and all that was left was full price premium orchestra and standing room on all three levels of the theater. Not sure if they sell standing room for all shows. I picked up a standing room ticket at the back of the orchestra.

By the time of the show I was told the house was completely sold out. I think it is mostly the presidents day weekend rather than an overall trend though.

I rushed this for the matinee yesterday. I got to the theater right at 10 a.m., the line took about 10 minutes and I got a canceled ticket - center orchestra Row J - for $99. Couldn't have asked for a better seat - particularly at that price.

I checked out the other two levels at intermission - I would have been happy with the mezz, but felt the extra price was worth it to see Glenn Close's facial expressions. As others have pointed out, balcony is VERY high and gave me vertigo.

It was also on TKTS yesterday and hadn't sold out by the time I walked into the theater around 1:30 p.m.

I think Wednesday matinee there was a lot on TKTS yesterday.  Seems like the matinees yesterday took a beating.   But Snset wasn't on tkts last night

I rushed at noon today for the matinee, was offered my choice of orchestra/mezz/balcony and went with mezzanine.

Bumping this to see if anyone has rushed recently. I might be mistaken, but it sounds like the rush tickets are all over the place. Is this correct? Just trying to gauge what time I need to get to the theater to get the best available. Thanks for any information!

Are standing room tickets available at the box office? If so, how much are they?

I rushed on Saturday for the night show, got there at about 11:30 and got last row mezzanine.  It was high and far from the stage, and honestly at $55 a pop it was pretty pricey for rush tickets.  But it was the best we could do last minute, and the show was pretty good so i am happy with my decision.

Well, I paid $79 for those seats, so I think it's a really sweet deal for you, but I think you should re-visit the show and seat in a better spot. The show is much better when you can see a little more. I can't believe you didn't notice that Glenn missed the last note of With One Look and she couldn't get the gun out, all my friends noticed the gun incident...it was funny and cute though. But that moment's dramatic value was affected by that.

I actually did notice both of those, but I wasn't sure if they were flubs or not (Glenn is such a talent that she made of them work). I figured the wrong note was, but I thought she pulled off the gun flub beautifully.  Honestly the character is so flustered in that moment, and Glenn commited to it and stayed completely in character, so for me it totally worked!  But I am definitely considering going back and this time being closer.  I want to really be able to see Glenn's face because her performance was incredible from the back of the house and I can only imagine how incredible it is from up close!

I'm afraid I won't be seeing the show again, as the seats that are front mezz and most of the orchestra are $300.

Has anyone rushed recently? Are they still doing $99 orchestra seats?

"

I think they were last time I asked. But last Saturday and Sunday, they were sold out...so I think it's more likely to get those on Wed-Thurs.
