It would be helpful to know what show you're auditioning for when making recommendations.  You don't want to sing something from that specific musical.  However, you should start by looking at other pop/rock musicals such as :  Bare, Godspell, Rent, Next to Normal, American Idiot, Hair, Spring Awakening, Little Shop of Horrors.  However, some of these shows have songs that are over-done so choose carefully.  But ideally you want something that is in the right rock vein, highlights YOUR best vocal attributes and lets you show some of your personality.

Well, I can't really say. But the show has and 50's-60's vibe. I ask if I should do a 50's song and they said no. So I am really stumped on what I should sing. Then they said: "We are just looking for a song that will blow us away."

P.S. Have looked at about 150 songs and came out with one and it isn't that good.

Are you a tenor? Baritone/bass? Pop/rock aside, what songs do you sound the best on? Knowing that will help narrow it down.

I am a tenor but I like how bari-tenor songs sound in my voice.

How about this?

What songs blow YOU away? Chances are you'll have a better shot of blowing someone else away with something that blows you away.

Why not try something different like "Brown Eyed Handsome Man" (Chuck Berry) or Elvis song like "I Got Stung".
