Love Emma's performance in La La Land, but please that award was not hers. I would've preferred amy or Natalie than her.

But that doesn't matter, because we're all here. And with all of our differences we have one thing in common. We're all gay.

Very amusing to hear the Pundits going on about the "no ensemble" nod, Hell there are BARELY supporting characters. How could there be an ensemble? It's Seb & Mia- Tha'ts all they wrote!

Words that confuse censors:Fecund, penal, taint, titmouse, cockatoo, coccyx, ballcock, cockeye, prickly, kumquat, titter, cunning linguist, insertion, gobble, guzzle, swallow, manhole, rimshot, ramrod, come, fallacious, lugubrious, rectify,Uranus, angina, paradiddle, spotted dick, dictum, frock, cunctation, engorge, turgid, stiff, bush, uvula, crapulence, masticate, Dick Butkus, gherkin and of course the always bewildering lickety split. As you can see, context is every thing. Chuck Lorre Addendum: 555 382 5968 "Sexarama, Hexarama, Queeriosis, Feariosis!" Alec Baldwin “I’m going to have to science the shit outta this.” The Martian

Utterly mystified how HIDDEN FIGURES beat out MOONLIGHT for best ensemble. HIDDEN FIGURES was perfectly likable commercial product; MOONLIGHT was a work of art.

I think the political climate had some influence on the voting.

So very happy to see Denzel win last night.  His performance was head and shoulders above anyone else in this category.  If the Academy wants to award Manchester by the Sea for anything, it should be Kenny Lonergan for screenplay, not the one note Affleck.

I have no problem with Emma Stone winning.  Her performance is what provided heart to LaLa Land.

The only review of a show that matters is your own.

Agree that Emma winning over Natalie and Hidden Figures winning over Moonlight were both awful choices.

As for the pundits, they do have a point. Two-handers have been nominated for best ensemble before, as ridiculous as it may seem. However, it doesn't seem like it will mean anything here.

Natalie Portman did good work in a mediocre film. Emma did great work in a fantastic film.

Natalie would have won if the category were Funniest SNL Impression.

Much as I love Moonlight, the cast of Hidden Figures was great so I can't really complain. I only wish Moonlight had won so Andre Holland would be somehow recognized for his truly under appreciated performance.

I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.

I think Jackie is a slightly better film than La La Land and Natalie's performance is about 100x better than Emma's. And I hardly thought Emma was bad or anything.

And yes Andre Holland (and Trevante Rhodes) getting absolutely no individual recognition for their performances all season is a true injustice.

Mahershala Ali's speech was so powerful and a highlight of the evening.

I know television doesn't get discussed much at these awards, but I was very happy to see Stranger Things recognized.

My name is neither "adam" nor "greer."

I still not get the praise for Washington's performance, I thought Affleck was far better.

I know it is a cliche.  And I know I am in the minority.  But for me Meryl's was the best performance this year.  I don't get anything about the bru-ha-ha over La La Land.  A ok movie not deserving of all this attention.

I don't get the negative criticism with Natalie Portman's Jackie portrayal. I honestly though she truly embodied her and Natalie's performance was so heartbreakingly beautiful.

But that doesn't matter, because we're all here. And with all of our differences we have one thing in common. We're all gay.

^ It's all subjective. Many people agree with you, that's why she's getting lauded with all these nominations, including the Oscar, so she's hardly crying herself to sleep at night.

Sick, pathetic POS

"La La Land" is nice. Can it hold its own to the greatest American musical films? Not really... I'm glad it's in the ring and drawing attention to the genre. Just maybe, the best is yet to come...
