...for 10 episodes on NBC next year.  I wonder how they will handle the story line and stay true to the original finale.

I don't think that's possible. The original ending sucked, so if they just ignore it that's fine with me. Better to just forget it.

I believe if they were following the finale timeline, Will and Grace wouldn't even be on speaking terms Today.  Best to ignore it.  That entire final season was desperately unfunny.  Hope this is a return to form.  The election episode was a positive sign of a return to form.

Right, but that was set decades in the future, circa late 2020s. Will's son went on to marry Grace's daughter too, as I recall, having met (for the first time) at college...so yeah, the new season should definitely be in an alternate universe.
