A good man and an underrated president. I wish him and his family the best. Worth noting - his granddaughters were very gracious to the Obama girls at both the beginning and end of their stay in the White House.

Liza's Headband said: "You sick, pathetic POS. Put aside politics for once in your life and show some goddamn empathy/compassion. Jesus Christ, you people are insufferable. "
Rolling my eyes big-time here. Jay's innocuous comment is in no way incompatible with wishing the best for George and Barbara Bush.
I think it's interesting he called trump to tell him his and himself can't make it to the inauguration.
In our millions, in our billions, we are most powerful when we stand together. TW4C unwaveringly joins the worldwide masses, for we know our liberation is inseparably bound.

"I think it's interesting he called trump to tell him his and himself can't make it to the inauguration."
I'm sure he did that out of common courtesy, just like all the former presidents called Trump to congratulate him on November 9th. All the former presidents have a good sense of decorum and decency.
We need to remember how all the former presidents treated Trump (even having not supported him) and in four - or God forbid eight years - will Trump extend the same courtesy to the person who succeeds him?
To get back to the original message of this thread, sending all my best to George and Barbara Bush and hope they get better soon!
Jay Lerner-Z, your post was completely fine. Do we need an in-house mental health specialist on this forum? The emotional instability here sometimes is (pun intended) crazy.
"You can't overrate Bernadette Peters. She is such a genius. There's a moment in "Too Many Mornings" and Bernadette doing 'I wore green the last time' - It's a voice that is just already given up - it is so sorrowful. Tragic. You can see from that moment the show is going to be headed into such dark territory and it hinges on this tiny throwaway moment of the voice." - Ben Brantley (2022)
"Bernadette's whole, stunning performance [as Rose in Gypsy] galvanized the actors capable of letting loose with her. Bernadette's Rose did take its rightful place, but too late, and unseen by too many who should have seen it" Arthur Laurents (2009)
"Sondheim's own favorite star performances? [Bernadette] Peters in ''Sunday in the Park,'' Lansbury in ''Sweeney Todd'' and ''obviously, Ethel was thrilling in 'Gypsy.'' Nytimes, 2000
Don't worry, I already do - the court has already mandated it. For some reason Bernadette didn't appreciate me waiting in her bed one night for her to come home and sign my FOLLIES pillow.
