Lots of women are going from my area in Connecticut. Unfortunately, I won't be able to, but I will be publishing reports online and in the newspaper from women who are going.
A lot of women are making Pussy Hats to wear on the trip.
EDIT: I tried to link to the site about the hats but it was censored. It's p***yhatproject.com, with letters instead of ***
I'll be going from Madison, NJ. So excited to be a part of this historic event. Please don't forget that there are marches in major cities across the USA as well if you can't make it to the big one in DC.
Reason #1000 of Women get no respect.
Did you guys see the idiot Washington Post cover story for their Express feature? IT was printed before anyone noticed. too late to change. SHAME on them.
Guess they do not have any Women working there....

Since Phil Graham sold the Post to Murdoch it has turned into nothing more than litter. I grew up in the DC area and never started a day without reading the Post. I relished the days when Katherine Graham was running it. After her death her son inherited it and he ran it for several years but realized that none of the next generation in the family were interested in continuing with it. He sold it to Rupert Murdoch and it turned into trash. There's no editing, no attempt to make sure that an article makes sense and contains all the facts the reader needs to understand the story. The writing is terrible and it's filled with bad grammar and spellings. Worse of all, there's no attempt to ensure that the story being reported contains absolute FACTS and is telling the truth. There's no attempt to make sure that all sides of an issue are reported. You'll never find a more dedicated, dyed in the wool liberal than myself. I can't stand anything about the president-elect and still believe I'm in the middle of a terrible nightmare. Despite this, even I couldn't stomach the reporting in the Post over the last year. I didn't believe a word they wrote!

Mamie, I deleted my online subscription with The Washington Post a couple of months ago. I concur with everything you said.
Just for the record, the Graham family sold the Washington Post to Jeff Bezos, not Rupert Murdoch. (He does own the New York Post.)

Some of my Chicago friends are going to DC and others will be meeting here in Grant Park!
Indeed, the Grahams owned the Washington Post, not the NY Post (motto: we sometimes print in English).
The Washington Post, now owned by Jeff Bezos, has done nothing but spectacular work during the entire nightmare of a presidential campaign. They did great investigative reporting on the Orange Menace. And they're in the enviable position now of being able to hire 60 more reporters. Good for them.
This is grudging respect from me, because I always though the NY Times was the better paper. And I hate the WaPo web layout. But there's no way I'm cancelling my subscription now. I think they're doing the work we need to read going forward.
I was going to say, The Washington Post did some of the best reporting on Trump during the election...
