Looking for something reasonably close (10-15 min walk, perhaps?) to the theater district. I'm an ovo-lacto vegetarian and my husband eats meat, though he's happy to go to a vegetarian restaurant as well.

Thanks!

I always recommend Trattoria Trecolori, on W47th.  Very reasonable, outstanding Italian food.

Kashkeval on 9th between 55th and 56th. Mediterranean food, lots of vegetable options- plus delicious cheese fondue.

Thank you, all! I made some reservations based on your recommendations and am keeping the other names for when I'm back in town!

Junior's right in the heart of the theatre district is a perfect spot to eat before or after your show.  I eat there pretty much every day when I go to NYC, and I get to NYC about 2-3 times a year.  They have a very extensive menu and the food is always delicious.  I'll be back at the end of April for 12 days.  Can't wait to taste their great food again!  It can be very crowded, so allow for time.

Had an amazing dinner last night in the theater district at a new restaurant called Chaan Teng (698 9th at 48th St.) It is run by chef Pichet Ong. The food is the real deal. High quality meats and vegetables prepared with delicious sauces and spices. They are in the process of getting their liquor license right now so it is BYOB until they do. (They have a selection of teas and such.) Lovely decor. Go now before everyone knows about it.
