I recently purchased a turntable and am loving it, but my record collection is regrettably tiny. Does anyone have suggestions for good places to buy records (used and new) in NYC?
If you don't mind going to the outer boroughs, Rough Trade is in Brooklyn on North 9th Street. It was a short walk from the Bedford Avenue L train stop.

Check out the local thrift stores like Goodwill and Salvation Army. You can usually find great buys for under a $1. Clean your used records with rubbing alcohol and a 100% cloth item.
