Friends from LI are coming in to spend the Saturday evening through the late Sunday afternoon with us.  My passion for the shows will be interrupted for a get together with old friends and football watching.  We're on 45th and Broadway, anything within ten blocks of that north south or three east west, suggestions?  A group oscillating between five to twelve people for 6 hours.

The best sports bars are further downtown but try Stout on 33rd between 6th and 7th across from MSG and Penn Station. Great selection of beers and lots of TVs. Will be very crowded. They also have a new location on 41st near Madison and Grand Central which is closer and might be less crowded but haven't been to that one yet.

Thanks Charlie booked the one near Grand Central and if it sucks Hate has a great back up for a quick taxi.

Once again BWW folks you're serving us well.

I went to The Hooters Restaurant with some friends of mine near Macys.  They have TVs all over the place with Sports on. It was fun and yummy

This had the potential to go a little nutty.  If I had just gone to the bar Hate recommended instead of Charlie, to hook up with my friends their wives and two of my godsons, eight close friends from LI would have been convinced that I had really switched teams.  They already have a hard time accepting that I love musical theater.

Thanks for the attempt at a warning Art Man, and thanks for the message hate that I just saw today.  If that had indeed happened I would've stayed there and posted about it.  There would have been incredible ribbing and laughter from my friends of almost 50 years.
