School of Rock Rush

Has anyone done the School of Rock rush recently? How was it? I'm planning on doing it on January 2nd and was wondering how early I should get there.

I did it for Alex's second to last show back in November. I got there at 8 and was first in line. I rushed Fiddler last Wednesday, got to that theatre at 8-8:30 and only saw 2-3 people on line at the Winter Garden.

For what it's worth we were sold out every show last week, and we've been sold out every show this week.

It looks like we are going to be sold out for the remainder of the week as well. 

I'm not sure how that might impact rush. 

There is standing room available when we are sold out, and the view is excellent.

^I've done standing room for School of Rock a few times and the view really is great. 

Another option is the online lottery - it's been awhile since I've won but I've had friends win recently. It's worth a shot and it's the same price as rush.

There will be no rush or lottery for SOR during the holiday period.

I will try to ask tomorrow. They have also started selling the boxes. I'm not sure how much they are, though.

FYI. There is no rush or lottery for the show until the Sun. matinee due to heavy demand.

As of 6pm the sign outside the theater didn't list any dates for this weekend. I don't know if that changed. 

I am 99.9% sure rush will be available Sun eve. 

They have been selling SRO on days with no rush or lottery. I don't know how early, but all the spots have been taken recently.

Arrived at the theater this morning at 7:30 and was the only one in line until 8:00. The line was almost around the block by the time the box office opened at 10:00. I got pretty good seats for the matinee performance (Row R seats 9 and 11), saw everything and it was the perfect view.

Hi, I'm looking to get rush tickets for this Saturday's matinee! I've heard from some you can just walk right up a few hours before the show and get tickets but also see the last post they showed up at 7:30am. Any advice about recent SOR rush is much appreciated... im looking to get 4 or 5 tickets. Thanks!!

I can't add any advice on arrival-time but just note that to get 4 tickets you will need 2 people on line and 3 people to get that 5th ticket.

I was on an morning jog through Times Square and ran by the Winter Garden Theater at 8:15 am on Sun 7/23.  No one in line for Rush... just FYI :) 

On the other hand, 4-5 people in line for Hello Dolly!
