Was wondering if anyone has tried SRO for Dear Evan Hansen recently? Since the show is pretty much sold out for the month, do they start selling standing room right when the box office opens or at a specific time prior to curtain? Thanks!

If they're completely sold out, they'll sell ickets when the box office opens in the morning.

There are partials that do not show up on Telecharge that may affect the SRO situation. I got SRO on Saturday morning12/10 for the evening show. (Arrived at 9:20 am.) There was a single partial ticket left unsold (despite Telecharge stating that the show was sold out for that performance), but the BO sold SRO anyway since it was just a single partial. If there are additional partials unsold for future performances, they may not sell SRO until those are gone.

Btw, SRO for this show is sold from the center: I got the 2nd pair sold that day and it was dead-center and a perfect view.

How much are the partial view seats?

Can someone give me tips and info on how to get standing room tickets? I'm coming from DC Christmas night and know there's a matinee on Monday the 26th. What time should I get to box office to get them? Wait in line at the crack of dawn? Could I get 2 (friend will be at work) or is it an every man for himself situation??

I strategically chose to go on the morning of the snow we had on Saturday... not sure how much it had to do with it but it was around 10:40 AM (40 minutes after opening) where I was able to obtain standing room tickets.  I think I may have gotten the second ticket of the day... not sure.

I went two days ago (Wednesday) and they started selling standing room for both matinee and evening performances when the box office opened. I think the show's pretty much sold out during the holidays so you will be able to get standing room at box office opening time...but there's definitely a line starting before then, so keep that in mind. I think there are perhaps 14-18 standing spots at most per show.

I went to the box office Saturday (12/17) around 11:30ish and got standing room for the evening (109 - a little off center). The view is great and you don't miss a thing - one of the best standing room set ups I've seen. The show just is an emotional and raw piece and just gets me and I love it so much.

Hi there

FYI I got to the theater today just before 11 and picked up the last standing room ticket, all the way house right. Not a perfect view, the show is definitely played to the center of the room, but for the price, you can't beat it.

There are 16 standing slots, 10 center and 6 hous right.

This is by far the cheapest they've got to see the show except for the lottery-I was in line at the box office behind someone I'd assume is a scalper, buying the maximum number of tickets per day for dates in the new block. For the new block the cheapest seats, Mezz partial view, are $99 and they go up from there.

I love this show and am so excited to see a piece like this having the success it currently is!

I'm also looking to do SRO (for Sunday Jan 8th 7:30 pm). I really want to see this show and would have gladly paid the normal price but it is sold out.

I have never done SRO before so wanted to ask some questions.

How do you actually buy those? Is it simply at the ticket box office so same place as where we would buy/pick up will call regular tickets

I also want to ask if it take long to line up and get those tickets? Or you pretty can tell right away once you get to the theater whether there are any left?

I don't mind lining up for long but I am travelling with other family members and would feel bad if I disappear for long early in the day and then disappear again at night for the show (if I can get the tickets).

Also so you guys think there is any chance of getting 3 tickets if I only get there after noon?

SRO tickets are sold at the box office and there is usually a line for those 16 spots during the holidays (though not everyone in line is there for SRO).  Sunday evening shows are tricky because that's not a popular time slot and may not be sold out (technically required for SRO tix to be released). I would suggest showing up close to the time the BO opens (which should be noon on Sunday I think, but you should double check) and ask -- they are always very helpful and may tell you to return later in the day.

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

Quick question for those of you that have gotten SRO tickets (that I don't think was answered already): what time does the Music Box box office open on Saturdays?

Thanks in advance :)
