$49-$99 for the balcony
$99-$199 for the mezzanine
$129-$250 for the orchestra

I don't get why people are saying how expensive this show is.  I have checked several performances and it is a lot cheaper than Hello Dolly.  They are just not labeling seats as Premium (I am one of the folks who have issues with Premium seats, but they are a fact of life).  Anytime you can get seats in the balcony, A1 for $69, in a small theatre, you are doing great.  Mezzanine prices seem reasonable, and there are seats at $149 and $129 in the orchestra (admittedly, not a lot).  You are just seeing a lot of premium seats in a small theatre, with the top one being a lot cheaper than a lot of shows.  Not a bargain but, to me, no different than most shows, especially ones that are likely to be sold out before previews begin.

When stuff like this happens seemingly out of the blue, it always makes me wonder...how long was this percolating with the powers-that-be, and how good were they at keeping it a secret till reveal time?

I had the same issue, a confirmation number popped up when I made the purchase, but I still have not received an email confirmation or etickets about 9 hours later.  I guess I will call tomorrow like you did, ljay.

I still haven't received it either! I don't feel as bad now. Definitely give them a call, especially if you did etickets. The nice representative answered immediately and quickly confirmed my will call order.

You guys should check the junk folder to make sure that it didn't get caught in a spam filter. I've had that happen with legit commercial emails before.

Very good, wouldn't you say?

But that's where the fun is. Don't let 'em see what's coming .... and then sock it to 'em.

It's been percolating since the concert. They kept it a secret since then.

I am still pinching myself that this is happening. I was lucky enough to get a pair of the row C cheaper seats and I am counting down the days. Can't wait to see who rounds out the cast.

I could hardly believe the news when I read about this transfer yesterday at work!  The most I had hoped for was a cast recording, like they eventually produced of Sondheim's Merrily We Roll Along and other more recent concert productions. I very rarely buy full-price tickets, but I took the leap and bought two side orchestra seats for early March as a Christmas gift for a family member and myself (the best available at the $139 price point; I couldn't stomach anything more, even for this show).

I hope much of the cast from Encores will transfer with the show, particularly Rashad. I imagine that many will because of the limited run and the prestige of doing this show as the official re-opening of the Hudson Theater. Not to mention ticket sales already seem to be incredibly strong.

Snagged seats for the final performance, which fit perfectly into my April trip. So excited to be able to see a show at the Hudson!

It won't be the final performance. I find it impossible to believe that they won't announce an extension soon.

Oh I know they were good at keeping it quiet, guys...that was a rhetorical question!

By the way, this brings the total number of Broadway houses to 41, right? It was such a nice round number for the longest time! Hahaha, kidding.

I do wonder about this. If so, part of me is annoyed that shows continue to still roll out that old marketing ploy every time (limited run - STRICTLY 10 weeks ONLY). I suppose this production has already used it for the 'one-night only' concert.

I often post here on my phone, so please excuse issues with grammar, paragraphing and spelling :).

Just got my ticket on the Hudson theater site. They have a better selection and at better prices than Telecharge.

Telecharge doesn't set the prices, the producers do.  The only thing telecharge controls is the fees.

A cheaper fee is a cheaper fee, though.

What do we think are the chances of a cast recording?

An extension would be amazing and quite the game changer during Tony time.

Are there requirements on length of run?

Don't think so but it would certainly help its chances if it were still running during the Tonys. Although this has proved false in less crowded seasons.

It has already changed ---- and won ---- the game, without even having opened.

The only requirement is that they make tickets available to Tony voters for a certain number of performances. So it's possible to have an extremely short run as long as they meet that number (I'm not sure what it is, but The Anarchist was eligible and it only ran 17 performances).

Got my tickets last night, this is gonna be great!  Saw Jake Gyllenhaal in Constellations last year and his acting was fantastic, now I am looking forward to see how he will do in a musical.  I think the prices are reasonable, and was happy and thankful for the $59 rear mezzanine tickets (but the processing fee of $33 seemed a bit excessive).  I have no knowledge of this show whatsoever so this will be a complete new experience for me - very excited!

Are you sure those seats were $59? I definitely didn't see that price range of seats and I bought mine mere minutes after it was announced with plenty of inventory available.

Are you sure they weren't $79 with $10 in service fees? That would explain the $33 service fee, which also didn't exist for me.

GreasedLightning, I bought the tickets directly from the Hudson Theatre website, and the last two rows in the center on the Third Floor said $59 per ticket when I was choosing them.  However, at the end, I was charged a processing fee of $3 and a service fee of $33.  It's kind of bizarre that you didn't see any $59 tickets.  Perhaps different ticket purchase websites displayed different prices, but they ultimately cost about the same?
