Hello!
One of our teaching artists, Catherine Walker of the University of Michigan Musical Theater Dept., has written an outstanding blog on the process of choosing the perfect songs for auditions. It is specifically geared to young singers who are interested in applying for the Songbook Academy, but a great deal of the information is applicable to singers of all ages in a variety of audition settings (college programs, theme parks/industrial shows, community choruses, theater productions, etc).
