With all due respect, the ladies can shimmy these days but in no way are physically capable to execute those sharp moves anymore. I saw Donna "dance" the original choreography almost 20 years ago and she basically just gestured sections.

It's fairly obvious (or should be) that those three talented ladies will not be dancing at the same level as in 1969. It is exciting that they're making an effort to recreate that energetic dance, to the best of their abilities. Their efforts should be praised. It's also for a worthy cause.

I'm super excited anticipating the re-creation of that iconic number. I saw the original back in my student days and it's among my top five Broadway memories, including the original productions of SWEET CHARITY and FOLLIES and Hugh Jackman's performance in THE BOY FROM OZ.
