This is truly the saddest of news. I saw her one woman show at Joe's Pub a few years ago. She was in great voice and talked about upcoming roles- absolutely bursting with life and charm. She told lots of scary stories about David Merrick during Fanny that had everyone cracking up. I'm really shocked by this.
Fanny and The Girl Who Came to Supper are two of the greatest cast recordings and Henderson's performance of The Coconut Girl is a comic gem rarely rivaled. Just the other day I was singing the Walla Walla hula with a friend. Here and Now and I've Been Invited to a Party are moving as hell too.
RIP- you brought much joy into the world and we're worse off without you in it.
Marie: Don't be in such a hurry about that pretty little chippy in Frisco.
