Dear Evan Hansen seating options

Hi again! Haven't posted in a LONG time after my nephew stole my phone and posted inappropriate and random stuff... Hope you guys don't remember that painful experience :)

Anyway, I am FINALLY going to get to see DEH, and I have no idea what seating is good. I'm going right around Christmas, so most good tickets are not good. I saw Pippin inside the Music Box years ago, but barely remember where I sat or if my view was good. I typically would go premium in this scenario, but all of those are bought as well. Typically don't like sitting in the mezzanine, but if it is especially good, I would. Which seats would you recommend: Orch Row J Side 18-20, Orch Row G Side 17-19, Orch Row O Side 8-10, Orch Row P Center 113-114, Front Mezz Row D Side 5-7, or Front Mezz Row E Center 111-112.

I remember this theatre is rather small... Thanks so much in advance! :)

Honestly any seat in the Music Box is good...With that said for this show I would sit row E center mezz. Enjoy, it's such a powerful show!

I was so pleased when it was announced that this would be at the Music Box  -  except for the box seats, you cannot have a bad location. Over the years I have literally sat in the last row of the mezzanine at the far end  - and had a perfect view.

Bumping this.... I sat in the second row for Shuffle Along, and even though the stage was fairly high, I loved the view. Is the stage any higher/lower for DEH? I'm thinking of buying tickets for where I sat for Shuffle Along.

I would recommend sitting center and to the right as your are facing the stage.  The climax of the show has Evan facing stage left.

Saw some tickets pop up on telecharge for right side orchestra row K yesterday so just went ahead to buy. Does anyone know if the view is ok or whether I will miss some of the action? They are not labelled as partial view, so i really hope they are good enough. Thanks!

I ended up getting a front row seat that's the first after the aisle break on Orchestra Right. How high is the stage? If it is similar to Shuffle Along, I'm ok with it.

Max, I believe I had your exact seat and it's a good seat if your ok missing some feet and legs at times. The stage is high so my neck was tilted but I loved being close and seeing all the actors faces. I loved the seat. I previously saw the show from the last row in the house (which was also great) so I loved this perspective too. Very emotional.

I personally love being close rather than farther away, so if all I miss is feet I'm ok.

I saw it on Friday and I was row C, all the way on the end. It was definitely partial view, and I missed out on most of the effect of the social media screens, but honestly it didn't bother me much. 95% of the action takes place downstage, so there were very few moments that I couldn't see someone. I can't imagine loving the show more than I did, even with a better seat.

I was in this exact seat; the stage is very high. I'm not a tall person but I've also sat front row for many other shows with no problem. For this one the usher actually told me, "Some people find they need a booster seat, so just tell the person back there if you think you'll need one." I used the booster and it was fine, but I would recommend that people sit a few rows back if they haven't bought their ticket yet. They also tend to shine the spotlight right in your face when the actors are on the edge of the stage, which seems to affect many spots along the whole front row.

I came across tickets on side mezzanine, row A that are designated partial view. How "partial" would the view be from there?

I sat on the 2nd seat in on house right in those side mezz partial view seats and I didn't miss a thing. Not at all partial.

I am sure this has been asked in some capacity but I couldn't find a good, straight answer. How is the view from the box seats? I would love to hear from someone who has seen this show specifically from a box.

Like others have said, virtually any seat in the Music Box is fine.

Having said that, if you have the opportunity to sit in the first few rows of the orchestra, do it!  You will become immersed in the performance of Platt, as you'll see the tears streaming down his face and the snot coming out of his nose. It will be a theater experience you will long remember.

I saw it from the first row of the mezzanine, center, and it was perfect.  No one ahead of me with their cell phones out, or blocking my view.  The theater is a great size.

Won the lottery today (yay!) and they were first row on extreme sides, for the price I paid it was fantastic! I was on A 5, the person next to me (A 3) paid full price and I can tell you they were not happy...

I read people saying that there are no bad seats, I would have to disagree with that, the extreme sides of orchestra on the second row looked dreadful. When the show ended I sat down on B 11 just to see how the view would be and it was by far the worst view I've ever seen in any theater. I would say 80% of your view is blocked and you can only see a bit of the stage...

I had standing room right 8 and I had a great view. I saw everything and I didn't feel far at all.

I have seen the show from the box seats. I sat in the back "row" of the three rows of box seats. The view from there was great. If you sit in the box seats, you will miss some of the impact of the projections on extreme stage right, and there's one part of "Requiem" where you will lose sight of Jennifer Laura Thompson who is upstage for a few minutes, but you'll still hear her. The view from the box seats is preferable to the partial view seats on the extreme side of the left orchestra. You'll see mostly everything from the box and not be distracted by seeing too much of the wings, which are visible from extreme house left. During the beginning of "Words Fail," Evan will have his back to the box seats for some of it, which you might not like, but he will turn and be more visible as the song proceeds. I loved my experience of seeing the show from there.

Would love to hear more reports on front row, center mezz. I know people say it's great, but there's a part of me worried about feeling disconnected. Also, is there a good amount of leg room?

I sat front row center mezz (cancellation ticket) a month ago and it was perfect! You can see the projections clearly and see the facial expressions throughout the show. No, you won't get any body fluids from the cast but I think it's one of the best seats in the house. You'll see the projections on the floor and notice that parts of the letter are shown again and again. At the end of "Disappear", the characters literally stand on the word "Disappear"... I doubt people in the orch can see that. Regardless, orch center and center mezz are the best sections in the theater.

I recently managed to grab right orchestra row F, seats 18-20, for a late August performance. These tickets just showed up on Telecharge out of the blue. Being the last seats at the far end of the row, does anyone know if we'll have an obstructed view? I've read the earlier posts in this thread and some have mentioned problems with the first couple of rows, but my seats are in row F.

The tickets were priced at $199 each, which is less than half the price of the other seats that are currently showing up at the last minute (seems like everything has been $450 lately). I'm trying to decide whether I should keep watching for something more central (and obviously much more expensive) to become available, or keep what I have because the added cost would be so substantial. Any thoughts on whether it would be worth the money to move closer in? I've seen the show once before, but my husband has not.
