Trump will make a fatal mistake in the next 6 months and be impeached. But only if Paul Ryan finds a soul by then, so impeachment unlikely.

Impeachment is only going to happen if and when the Republicans decide they've had enough. It's not going to happen if Republicans are not in favor of it. That said, if they see that the majority of Americans are opposed to the human Cheeto and in favor of impeaching him, they might consider it to save the party from an almost guaranteed loss in 2020. In fact, I don't think it's too far fetched to believe that they pushed Pence on Trump because they thought impeachment or resignation might be a real possibility. The sad truth is that the Republicans in Congress would be in heaven with a President Pence. In some ways, Pence is even more scary than Trump. I just don't see a light at the end of the tunnel yet.

Oh, I think that's been their plan from the moment it became clear Trump was going to win the nomination. They thought he could be controlled or neutralized, but Pence was the insurance policy. I expect they'll be cashing it in sooner rather than later at this point, probably before the midterms. Once he does something outlandish enough, they'll all turn on him.
My name is neither "adam" nor "greer."
Once he does something outlandish enough, they'll all turn on him.
How do you define enough? He has done outlandish things since Nov. 9th. He has done outlandish things his first week in office.

Doesn't he actually have to break the law?
Well, he has to be convicted, I believe...
Like PalJoey says on page 1 of this thread, he is a ticking timebomb of high crimes and misdemeanors. If they really wanted to get rid of him, they'll find a way. =
It's inevitable.
Previous impeachments have been horrible, searing, damaging events for the entire nation.
This one will be a joyous event for everyone, left and right.

I'm not fully convinced yet that impeachment is inevitable where Trump is concerned. But, I do believe that if push comes to shove within the GOP, Trump will be forced by the GOP establishment in the Senate to make a burnt offering of Bannon to save his own hide. Reince Priebus and Mike Pence are banking on Bannon overplaying his hand. Most folks in my circle see Trump stepping down by the end of the year but that seems a bit optimistic to me.
This just in...Acting Attorney General Sally Yates just got canned according to WaPo.

"How long before he bans elections by executive order, because of his percieved national emergency.
Who knows, you may end up with your fascist leader for longer than you think.

"I would be very, very firm with families. Frankly, that would make people think. They may not care much about their lives, but they do care, believe it or not, about their families' lives." - 12/15/2015
"They care more about their families than they do about themselves. Something has to be done... I would do pretty severe stuff." - 12/31/2015

The competing power dynamic appears to have made Priebus, in particular, suspicious of his colleagues’ motives, especially as Bannon asserts his influence, according to several people with knowledge of the situation.
“A little bit of under-competence and a slight amount of insecurity can breed some paranoia and backstabbing,” one White House official, who was granted anonymity to speak candidly, said of Priebus. “We have to get Reince to relax into the job and become more competent, because he’s seeing shadows where there are no shadows.”

Article on Politico today about bookies and odds for impeachment.
POLITICO: Trump impeached? You can bet on it: The prospect that the president won't make it through his term is big business for bookmakers.
I shoulda made the bet when I first posted this thread. The odds have gotten worse: they're now 11:1, meaning that a $100 bet will get you $110, whereas a $100 bet back at inauguration would have yielded $400..
In other words, the bettors and the bookies feel that impeachment is now MORE likely, almost equally as likely to happen as not to happen.
However...the Irish bookies are giving the odds of Trump being impeached this year in the House of Representatives--despite Republican control--at 4-to-1,
Hmmm...
Not following anymore odds or predictions you show, I put the house on Clinton because you said so. Still, the cardboard box is quite nice and it isn't to cold.
Pray for me and Pal Joey
I put the house on Clinton because you said so.
I still say she won by 3 million votes. This was a coup and the country's now being run by a junta.
My faith in the media and FBI may have bee shattered, but I still have faith in bookies and the patriotism of American gambling public. Everything will be all right--we just have to put up with a few months of fascism. ShIt happens. (Especially when Democrats let themselves be splintered.)
I'm gonna go put fifty down on the House of Representatives within Year One!
As Molly Ivins used to say, "Don't stop fighting the good fight!"
Gallup just posted his worst job approval/disapproval ratings:
40% approve
55% disapprove.
How much lower will he go?

PJ. So wrong. So often.
Republican Apacolypse.
Whatever happened to spelling?
Just like the president. And his new (and under-qualified) secretary of edumacation.
I cant spell correctly, you cant predict correctly. I do know what apocalypse means though. Clearly you do not as the Republican Party is still around and thriving. We all have our flaws.
I am sure Hilary would have beat him if the election was a spelling bee. But it wasnt.

So is she a racist or a misogynist?

My guess, since no one knows who she is, is that she's starved for attention.
But there's also this:

I have to admit, I never heard of her but she is getting tons of racist hate mail from the intolerant left.
We all know about Polls, right PJ? Check out this pre-election spin from Chicago Tribune,
No presidential candidate has overcome Trump's current poll deficit this late
The polls are coming fast and furious right now, and they're increasingly bad for Donald Trump. In fact, we can now say this: Were Trump to actually win, it would represent the biggest late comeback in the history of presidential polls.
Monmouth University is the most recent to show a big swing in Hillary Clinton's favor. Its just-released national survey has her leading Trump by 12 points, 50-38. That 12-point margin is the biggest so far this month. A new NBC-Wall Street Journal poll over the weekend also had Clinton ahead by double digits -- 11 points -- and other recent high-quality polls have shown her up 9 points(NBC-WSJ last week), 8 points (George Washington University), 7 points (Fox News) and 4 points (Washington Post-ABC News).
According to HuffPost Pollster, Clinton's average lead in these high-quality polls is now 8.9 points.
At this point in the cycle, no candidate who has seen such big deficits in any poll -- much less the average of all polls -- has recovered to win. The only poll of the six mentioned above that is even within the margin is the Post-ABC poll.
