Kellyanne Conway, Trump’s Campaign Manager, Says She Has Been Offered White House Job
Earlier today, a colleague reminded me that Ms Conway is the first woman in US history to manage a successful POTUS campaign.
"I guess I am your source, as I speculated that earlier today in Pal Joeys The Coming Republican Apocalypse Thread!!!

Trump is already walking back the tough talk on fully repealing the Affordable Care Act aka Obamacare. Reality has bitten him in the backside. He's in over his head and we all know it. Trump pays others to do the heavy-lifting. Dude will implode long before mid-terms and his cabinet will collapse under its own weight due to infighting. His encounters with the White House press corps will be brutal. He's not accustomed to be being publicly rebuffed. Helen Thomas is sorely missed despite her impartiality in the Palestine-Israel conflict.
Donald Trump, in Exclusive Interview, Tells WSJ He Is Willing to Keep Parts of Obama Health Law
Trump team rivalries spark infighting
Perhaps I've sunk to a personal low for rooting against Team Trump but I just want them out of there post haste.
Who says he'll have interactions with the White House press corp? There's no law stating that his has two. His buddy Putin doesn't do press conferences. Who's to say Trump won't follow in the footsteps of his idol?

I concede you the point ErikJ972. But do you think that Americans will tolerate a DESPOT?
There are powerful members of his own party who want to replace him with Pence.
"But do you think that Americans will tolerate a DESPOT?"
Who knows. I never though Americans would elect one.
Powerful Republicans didn't want him to win the primary. Powerful Democrats and Republicans didn't want him to win the election. Didn't seem to matter.

We can NOT let hopelessness and despair set in. We're not powerless. Our resolve must be firmer than the adversary's in this instance. I've never once uttered the words "take back this country" but goddammit that's what we have to do.

Agreed, so by all means continue all with SueStorm/Petralicious posting inane threads about how Melania and the Trump girls are going to turn DC fashion on its head.

Neither Melania nor any of the other Trump spawns was elected President. Many of us insisted on Michelle Obama and her daughters being off limits. I'm trying to show most of the Trump clan the same respect. And just because you don't like the thread does not make it inane, so please check your privilege.

You're delusional if you really think Michelle and her daughters were off limits for 8 years. There was an uproar when the woman dared show her arms. Now we have a first "lady" who dabbled in erotica, but you don't see the "Christian" uproar about that, do you?
And yes, a thread about fashion two days after the country elected a despotic dictator to be the leader of the free world is inane. No privilege checking necessary.
My name is neither "adam" nor "greer."
Who's hopeless? Marching in the streets of Manhattan today I felt better than I have all week.
But it's STUPID to underestimate the enemy. That's part of what got Trump elected.

Let me spell it out for you, adamgreer . Michelle and her daughters have always been off-limits "here" at bww. But, a few otherwise reasonable posters rushed to trash Melania after I attempted to acknowledge her impeccable sense of personal style and the fact that she's polyglot.
No matter how butt-hurt you or anyone else here is over the election, a clique of commiserating bearded mean girls at bww is not going to reverse the outcome with eye rolls and biting sarcasm. Nor, is that clique going to force me to censor my thoughts or posts.
From where I sit, one unanticipated upshot of Trump's victory is the 2nd Great Purge at bww. The 1st Great Purge of course came about in March when a certain actress took on the clique and won. A pair of charter members were bounced from the boards. Their shaite-stirring sycophants caught a case of the vapors for a minute. Then, there was calm.
So, I write all of this to encourage you to treat any thread that I start just like the recent election...build a bridge and get the f*ck over it.

The term is gender-neutral. You're reaching. But, I do recall being called a "dumb hetero" on here by one of the bearded mean girls in exile. No one took that poster to task. Nevertheless, I'll tone down the language going forward.

"The young men who grew up with him spoke to him, saying, "Thus you shall say to this people who spoke to you, saying, 'Your father made our yoke heavy, now you make it lighter for us!' But you shall speak to them, 'My little finger is thicker than my father's loins! 'Whereas my father loaded you with a heavy yoke, I will add to your yoke; my father disciplined you with whips, but I will discipline you with scorpions.'"
Kings12:11
Horrifing. Never thought I would see United States turn agsinst Israel..
Strong words on United States Israel policies .
Obama has made it clear that he’s a Jew-hating anti-Semite. He likes Jews who are his friends but not Jews in general,” said Morton Klein, president of the Zionists Organization of America, the country’s oldest pro-Israel organization. “Obama is sticking it to the Jewish state of Israel” if the US abstains or supports the resolution, Klein said Friday.
Sen. Charles Schumer said he strongly urged the White House to veto the resolution.

This was a twisted movie. I guess I enjoyed it, this was my favorite scene.

As long as we're cherry-picking:
A veto by the US – or any of the five permanent members of the council- would have killed it.
Speaking to the body after the vote, Susan Power, the US Ambassador to the United Nations, explained why the White House did not rise to defeat it.
“Further settlement activity is in no way necessary for the security of Israel,” she said.
Power said the White House stand on the issue was consistent with presidential policy going back to the Johnson administration.
“The U.S. has been sending the message that the settlements must stop, privately and publicly, for five decades,” she said.
It could have been vetoed by China, Russia, France or the UK, but Obama is "personally responsible". Uh huh. THANKS OBAMA! At least we've had the door opened to personally blame the President for literally anything.
Sorry but it's been US policy to veto any measures against Israel in the United Nation.
The Israelis are the ones who are glad Obama is leaving because of his 8 years that they feel have been the worst ever towards them.
To say Obama is an anti-Semite is pretty unnecessary. He hasn't harassed Jews personally has he? No. He's just against a single state solution. Which I think any sane person would agree with. The people of Palestine have been through enough torture and in humanity. If we are going to get anywhere near peace and prosperity in the Middle East, Israel needs to give up Palestine.
