Will this happen any time soon? It's been almost a decade since this show has been closed, and it needs to go back to the Palace!

Are you hoping for a remount of the original production or a completely new production?

I don't know if Disney would be up for producing a revival. For now, at least, all eyes are on FROZEN. After that, hopefully we'll see HUNCHBACK successfully make it to Broadway.

Lets be realistic here. As beautiful a show it is, Hunchback is never going to make it to Broadway, much less be successful.

I would love to see a re-imagined version of Beauty and the Beast.  They also should make a Hercules musical. I'm skeptical of Frozen.

I'd love to see a revival of this after "Frozen" closes.

I’d rather see Hercules next or something new from Alan Menken.

I’d love to see a revival of the original production, using the same elaborate sets and not the scaled down crap they ended up with at the Lunt.

I'd love to see Beauty and the Beast return with a beautiful new production.  I refuse to attend the cheapo tour version.  It needs to be a lush spectacle.

I would also LOVE to see Hercules on stage (the Menken/Zippel score alone deserves to be on stage), but it would really need to have the right creative team so that it doesn't end up like Tarzan or Little Mermaid.

I saw the original German production of Hunchback and while it was considered a spectacle, you didn't need to speak German to understand that the book just can't stand up to the score and the show will always struggle to find a core audience.

I’d rather see Hercules next or something new from Alan Menken.

I wouldn't mind seeing something new from Menken if he could only reignite his spark of creativity.  His last original score for the stage that was strong and memorable was A Christmas Carol, which has never been produced on Broadway (and I'd like to forget the awful TV version).  Sister Act had a handful of good songs, but Leap of Faith and A Bronx Tale are pretty forgettable scores.  Personally, outside of Little Shop, it seems that nearly all of his best work is for the screen.  I love what he wrote for Enchanted and Tangled.

I rather see Hercules as well. But other Disney movies i want to see adapted are Moana, Hocus Pocus, Descendants, Halloweentown, Brother Bear and Mulan.

I adore A Christmas Carol. "A Place Called Home" might be my favorite Christmas song if it counts. I do wish we'd received a cast album from one of the later years after the revisions, though "Jolly Good Time" was recorded for the television soundtrack. Still, the original cast and that cast album can't be beat. I've already begun listening to it this year!

I don’t want any more disney shows on broadway, while I love disney movie’s scores, they dropped the ball bigtime on Aladdin, and Frozen. So I would rather not have a disney cash cow where they don’t care about the quality and go the “safe route”

I adore the show and yes, A Place Called Home is one of my favorite holiday tunes.  I was lucky enough to get to see the show with Tony Roberts (and Didi Conn!) and I thought it was absolutely stunning.  The score is littered with gems.  I've never understood why it doesn't get a Broadway holiday production.  Instead, we get Home for the Holidays or this Clay Aiken/Ruben Studdard thing.

Maybe they will. This year is the 25th anniversary of it's premeire. Tuts is doing a new production of the show, where also the original show opened.

Honest, I could see these sets, costumes, replacing the current show at Hollywood Studios in Orlando.

If park insider rumors are true, they have something else in mind for the space currently holding the BatB show there. Been whispers for a time now that a Tangled show will eventually go in there but not until after they finish Star Wars Land. They can't afford any more dark attractions in that park until they have something else to entertain people with.

I listen to the Menken/Ahrens "A Christmas Carol" year-round! The Dickens story is my favorite book. I never saw the MSG production(s) but Notre Dame de Namur, a small college on the San Francisco Peninsula performed it "free" (you were asked to bring canned goods or toys) for the community, the school's annual gift. The tradition ended a few years back and I miss it.

I love BatB but not sure I would care to see a revival. It would have to be lavish, but I'm afraid it would be scaled back. I saw it in London at the Dominion. It was a matinee and I was surrounded by dozens of kids and I thought they would be fidgety and distracting. Not at all. They were all dressed up and were better behaved than some adults I've seen at the theater.
