I'm visiting NYC in December and looking at Sunday night shows.  What is the word on the street about Band's Visit?  I'm a fan of many people involved with the show and considering taking a chance.  Plus, I did enjoy the film, although I must say I'm getting a little impatient with movies being turned into stage musicals.  Any thoughts?  If there is another thread already, I apologize.  Thank you as always for your time.

I have tickets for Saturday, Nov 26.  Buzz does seem quiet so far.

I'm hoping to get tickets because a friend wants to see it. Previews haven't started yet. I'm sure buzz will pick up then.

In Cromer we trust. Even if it's not very good, it will be beautifully directed.

I personally like to see new musicals Off Broadway if possible, hoping to catch the next Fun Home or Hamilton. Of course it doesn't happen very often! But the names involved in this one seem promising.

So true.  I've been a fan of his since his Chicago theatre days.  His Come Back Little Sheba from a while back is still in my top 10 of all time.
