I just saw a promo that Tracey Ullman has a new series starting soon on HBO. It will be great to see her again, she is always so great. This one is called "Tracey Ullman's Show" and it starts on 10/28 on Friday nights after Real Time with Bill Maher. I'm looking forward to this too; HBO seems to be lining up some new shows with potential, ie. Westworld, Insecure, Divorce, and John Oliver is icing on the cake (by the ocean).

Loved her Dame Judi Dench!

She's great! The show is very British. I missed her American characters, like Ruby Romaine and Kay, but looking forward to more!

It is so nice to have Tracey Ullman back. Yes it is very British (the laugh track! The laugh track!) I do hope that HBO won't peg it as too British the way they do at times. I though the Kindle Library song was pure Tracey. I loved it.

Didn't this air on the BBC first?  I believe she's already started filming a second season.

It's great to see her back on air again. I could watch this stuff all day. (But yeah, the laugh track takes me back to the dreaded days of Are You Being Served?)

Why oh why has Tracey never done Mrs. Lovett onstage? No-one is more perfect for the part.

Contrarian opinion here, but I've always found Tracey's sketch shows more... impressive than LOL funny. It was tough not to ffwd through that indulgent library number.  But, yeah, the Judi Dench and Angela Merkel sketches were pretty damn funny.  I'm looking forward to the Camilla sketches shown in the preview for next week.

The Library choreography was by West End and Broadway choreographer Stephen Mear.

 

This show was on the BBC and yes a second series has started filming.
