So, I found someone selling a Hamilton ticket for $215 or so, and I wanted to know, I'm currently under 18. Will I be allowed in?

If you are likening it to the movies, stage productions have no ratings. They sometimes have suggestions on appropriate ages, but that's it.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

Don't be cheated by some random person selling you a fake Hamilton ticket for a price too good to be true.
Unless the person is a close friend or a family member, say no.

Theatergoing isn't regulated in the same way you'll encounter with something like an R-rated movie. As a somewhat related anecdote, I bought a ticket to August: Osage County no questions asked without any parent or guardian present when I was in middle school. It's kind of funny to me that at that age I would've been barred from seeing the film adaptation that came out a few years later under the same circumstances, but you just don't encounter that sort of thing with theater. Anywho, enjoy!

You shouldn't have a problem, the last 4 or so shows I've seen alone or with a friend or 2 and we are all 17-18 so it should be fine.

Done that umpteen times. Don't worry about your age; no one will check your id like you are trying to get a bottle of vodka and there's nothing like age limit with the only exception that no one under 4 shall be admitted.

To those saying the OP "shouldnt" haven't a problem...STOP. He WONT be questioned, at all.
I've brought HUNDREDS of children/teenagers to the theater, and never have any of them ever been denied access..or even been questioned. This includes seeing American Psycho.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?

Thank you dramamama. There will be NO problem. I would see shows by myself all the time as a very young looking teenager.

I first started seeing Broadway shows by myself when I was 13, and never had a problem. Enjoy!

I think the OP meant going to the theater ALONE, not with a CHAPERONE.

I started going to shows alone when I was 14. The only time I ever had an issue was for Whoopi Goldberg's last Broadway stand up engagement. The box office attendant told me he had to check with his manager and to come back. When I came back he sold me the ticket no problem.

I realized that. But we don't go in as a chaperoned group. The ushers/ticket takers see each one individually. They would never know which kids are with me.
