Anyone think there will be a discount available for her Loveletter to Broadway show?  Thinking of going, but ticket prices are a bit high for where I would want to sit.....

It's Chenoweth. And yeah probably will be, but there isn't one yet.

Is Chenowith an unlicensed  character in Times Square?

No, Time Square.

Was wondering the same thing. I doubt she could sell out this engagement at these prices.

I received a call from the manager of the Lunt-Fontanne yesterday morning. Their ticketing procedure had gotten screwed up and they had sold several hundred tickets twice. One of those tickets was mine. He seemed relieved when I didn't start yelling at him. The same location the next night was fine.

But I asked him that question also. Kristin Chenoweth was very popular, but could she sell out a Broadway theater for twelve consecutive nights?

His answer was evasive. But he did tell me that he had heard (not verified) that Chenoweth was going to have a different guest star doing the show with her every night. I haven't seen that anywhere. Seems like it would be difficult if much rehearsal was needed.

Chenoweth was on Broadway radio and indicated that each nights show would be different.  There will be some token songs but the set list will change nightly.

She also mentioned guest stars but would not say who.

I'm also waiting for a discount - I can't afford to pay 69$ for the last row of the mezz! Besides, from what I remember none of the shows were sold out and there were ample seats available so I'd expect a discount to come out soon.

Anyone know whether there will be a rush/lottery?

I was never a rabid Cheno fan, but I'm interested in this. Mainly because the promo materials make it look so appealing and glossy and...well, elegant.

I've never been to the Lunt-Fontanne either, so that'll be cool to check out.

Still an awful lot of seats left and not many days before opening night. Opening night and first Saturday center orchestra starting at row 20.

I hope this doesn't turn into something embarrassing.

Yesterday morning Sirius Satellite Sinatra channel played "I've Got a Crush on You" from her new album. In the years that I've been listening to this station they have never played anything from a current Broadway star. Not Audra, not Kelli.

Sometimes with all the glitz and background noise generated by Kristin, you have to be reminded how talented she is. "Crush" I never thought was one of Gershwin's very best, and it has been sung and recorded by so many, including Ol' Blue Eyes who sung it regularly in concert.

When I heard this on the radio, I didn't recognize the voice, but thought that it was an exceptionally good recording to grab my attention and concentration. I had to look at the display to see who it was.

Just checked and her first two performances now have 45$ (47$ with fees) tickets on sale in the last row of the mezzanine. It's not selling horrifically - the centre orchestra seems quite full. It's just the mezzanine and side orchestra that's pretty empty. The rest of perfs have the last row of the mezz at 57$, which is 10$ down from what they were selling at. Maybe we'll see a continued discount? Holding out for a rush policy or something. Maybe I'll try swing by day off and get a good seat.

Sounds like a good plan to me.

How far back is the last row of the mezz in the Lunt-Fontanne? Kristin's pretty tiny to begin with...
