Hey! I thought I would start a chain of posting videos of people singing covers of showtunes! I love listening to other people, so I thought it would be fun.

This video is of me singing Burn at a music showcase at my school earlier this year when I was a sophomore.

Well...

I clicked the link thinking I knew what to expect (what might be the typical level of talent when folks post videos that showcase themselves). I clicked the link anyway 'cause you never know when you might be happily surprised.

After hearing you sing, I'm very glad to say that (IMO) you are one of those few happy surprises. You were just barely 16 years old when you sang this? Young lady, you are someone to keep an eye on because you have a gift.

May you be blessed with the best of mentors who will nurture you towards further growth. All the very best to you in/for whatever direction you choose to take your talent!

Wow. I just have to say thank you. I almost started crying reading your kind words. Though I have had people compliment me on my voice,  few have actually encouraged me to go into theatre as a career. As a musicians and actor who can't imagine herself doing anything else I have to sit though people telling me that I'm being irrational, but reading your reply makes me feel more confident in my decision. Thank you so much.

You're very talented...and very brave. Both are necessary.

Keep singing and working on your voice--and keep taking dance classes and acting classes from the very best teachers you can find.
