Harvey Milk implored us all to come out. He said it's the best way to dispel the myths and destroy the lies and distortions surrounding the LGBTQ community. VideoOut recognizes that we are so close to full equality, but it's going to take lots of hard work to get there. In the dark shadow of the Orlando massacre, with laws like HB2 pending around the country, and with many LGBTQ people even facing death around the world, there's never been a better time to stand in solidarity. Here's what we've already done. Now sign up to add your voice.
It's time to share your story.
Our goal is to collect 500 coming out stories by the end of September, and we can't do that without you. We'll release the stories on October 11, National Coming Out Day, and we want you to be a part of what we're doing.
Participation is easy! You can share your story by signing up for a Story Collection Day event in New York City or at home (no matter where you live) by following the directions on our website.
