Whatever. She's still gonna win. This from Patton Oswalt:

"Wait, so Hillary has PNEUMONIA and she's still campaigning as hard as she is? You realize how badass that is, right?"

And borrowing these posts from my friends:

I've had about 129 men cancel dates on me in my lifetime because they had a cold. Hillary got pneumonia and didn't cancel ****. #ImWithHer

For every performer who has "gone on with the show" while sick, for every parent who has continued soldiering on while sick because they had to, for every caregiver who has continued giving care while sick, for every person who has just gotten on with it while sick...#ImWithHer

This is the first time Republicans ever cared about a woman's health. #ImWithHer

You can cure pneumonia. Ignorance, narcissism and bigotry are forever. #micdrop#ImWithHer

And this, from Andy Borowitz in the New Yorker:

BOROWITZ REPORT

POLL: UNCONSCIOUS CLINTON MORE FIT TO BE PRESIDENT THAN CONSCIOUS TRUMP

By Andy Borowitz  SEPTEMBER 11, 2016

NEW YORK (The Borowitz Report)—In a positive development for the Democratic nominee for President, a new poll released on Sunday reveals that likely voters find an unconscious Hillary Clinton “substantially more fit” to be President than a conscious Donald Trump.

In a hypothetical matchup between a Clinton who has been rendered completely unconscious and a fully sentient Trump, voters chose an inert Clinton over an ambulatory Trump by a margin of nine percentage points.

A spokesperson for the Clinton campaign hailed the findings. “We have every reason to believe that Hillary Clinton will be a fully conscious President,” the spokesperson said. “But even if she is not, she is still the far better choice.”

The same poll revealed that a broad majority of voters found an unconscious Donald Trump more fit to be President than a conscious one.

Finally, when asked about the Libertarian Presidential candidate Gary Johnson, a significant number of voters were undecided as to whether Johnson was conscious or unconscious.

I work in a Pulmonologist's office, it's incredibly common for healthy people to develop pneumonia. Problem is when they don't get it treated and just let it fester instead. Not that anyone in the media will care and she'll be reported on death's door tomorrow morning. I'm sure Alex Jones is already picking up reports about the funeral arrangements.

Isn't pneumonia somewhat contagious?  Why was she not being more careful?  Is this what we can expect of her foreign policy, spreading contagions across the globe? sad

Sharing something a friend wrote on Facebook:

Hillary was diagnosed with pneumonia on Friday, yet still held a national security meeting, a press conference, did an interview, took pictures with about 100 people, and gave a great speech to a crowd of 1000 people that same day. And she was amazing. When was the last time you did that much with pneumonia? When do you think Donald ever has? But we all know our mothers have taken care of us no matter how they felt. I hope Hillary takes care of herself, because pneumonia is no joke. But if Trump makes an issue out of this, it will not be because he's concerned about whether she is healthy enough to be president. It will be because he's afraid that on her worst days she's a million times more able and prepared than he is.

"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Only the taste of blood to remind us we ever existed. The earth is small. We're gone. We're dead. We're safe." -John Guare, Landscape of the Body

Why didn't Clinton's campaign disclose of the fact she was diagnosed with a contagious illness going back to Friday? It's fairly standard for campaigns to issue these types of updates.

I am sure many will be posting similar anecdotal stories.  But I got viral pneumonia when I was in college and it started with a persistent cough that got activated whenever I spoke above a certain volume.  I thought it was a cold and let it go longer than I should have before going to the doctor.  What made me go was an episode that I think was similar to what HRC appeared to experience this weekend, becoming very weak with knees buckling and needing the support of others.  I was hospitalized for several days and recovered quickly once antibiotics started.  Not saying my situation was exactly the same as HRC's, but I can attest that the bad optics of seeming to collapse don't necessarily mean the situation is dire.

I've seen people suffering with pneumonia - that Mrs Clinton even attended the memorial event demonstrates extraordinary resolve, stamina and determination. But then I really shouldn't be surprised by that should I?!

Best wishes for a speedy and complete recovery.

PS I read The Telegraph (amongst others) but I never pay Tim Stanley much attention.

So she's diagnosed on Friday, decides to soldier on through the 15th anniversary of 9/11 ceremonies without drawing attention to herself, has a medical episode there and then reveals she was just diagnosed the day before with pneumonia. And this is an example of Hillary Clinton's dishonesty? After all the complete bull**** Trump lies about, backtracks, and just plain makes up, actual adults are saying this "Breaking Story" shows how Clinton is dishonest? When she's running against TRUMP? What the F***?!

Trump is a racist, bigoted, double-talk liar. No doubt about that. I just happen to believe the same of Hillary... minus the "racist" and "bigoted" part.  I'm merely providing a service (and sense of balance) to those who are actually willing to expect more of their Presidential candidates; regardless of party affiliation. The fact that David Axelrod, an openly-admitted Clinton support, is so critical of her missteps is the most telling.

Failure to disclose a serious illness that is contagious. On Friday, after being diagnosed, she told a member of the press it was "just a cough" and "allergy related." We know that's not true. It is admirable neither she nor her campaign refused to disclose this information but it's more than reasonable for one to do so, and would spare them from all this nonsense in the long run. If you actually read the second article I posted, Clinton's director of communications responds to Axelrod by admitting as much ("We could have done better yesterday"Hillary's Pneumonia

Being more careful?   How.  If she took a sick day before now, the media and the trump campaign would have used that against her.  She tried to soldier thru, and couldn't quite make it.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

It's maybe because of the deplorable Trump fanatics relentlessly and unfairly spreading rumors about her health over the last while, that she felt she had to soldier on.

Not all strains of pneumonia are contagious so perhaps it had been determined by her physician that she was not a danger to others.  Could you imagine the backlash from the GOP if she didn't show up to the 9/11 Memorial Ceremony?  They would have crucified her.  There was no good choice here for her.

The Headband spoke the following crap: Failure to disclose a serious illness that is contagious...

HEADBAND--YOU CONTEMPTIBLE PIECE OF POOP--the doctors did NOT state whether it was viral pneumonia (which is contagious) or bacterial pneumonia (WHICH IS NOT, YOU STUPID STUPID BULL-CRAP-SPEWING WORM), but they did say they are treating her with antibiotics, which implies that it is bacterial.

There are TWO types of Pneumonia- one contagious and the other not. I would assume she has the later.

I am voting for her. I've read a number of articles today stating there's a lot of sickness in her camp of late. These articles claim she, and others, are or were contagious. I don't believe she was diagnosed on Friday as she was having coughing fits long before that...and I'm sure this was on somebody's radar. She was irresponsible in making contact with so many people since Friday (if we want to believe that's when she got the diagnosis). If it weren't for yesterday's "incident", her camp still would not have revealed the pneumonia.

Yes, I am voting for her because the alternative is unthinkable.

If there's nothing to indicate that she was contagious then there was no reason to avoid contact with people.

And just because you're coughing doesn't mean they throw you into a CT Imaging machine and douse you with that much radiation on a whim to prove you have pneumonia.
