POP UP ADS

I am getting the same pop up ad today with every page in this site I click to... It's for the opening night gala of the San Francisco Symphony...and I don't live in San Francisco. Maybe someone could check on that? Could be happening to others, too.

They slow the web site down and make site maneuvering clunky. It has made the site less classy which is a shame.

The pop ups have been much worse over the last one week, and I'm actually visiting here much less than normal because they're so annoying. This form of advertising is NOT effective with me.

The constant pop up video ad  (currently the Florence movie) on the mobile app is extremely frustrating and very unpleasant.

I do not mind the ads. This is not a charity, they have to make money. Its how we get this for free!

Yes, but there are ads all over the site....I don't think they need to be layered with pop up ads.

I have only seen the pop ups on my iPhone and iPad. All I get in my web browser (mostly using Chrome these days) are the regular ads.

I don't mind the ads in general, but the pop ups are annoying, especially on my small phone screen. Sometimes the pop up will load just when I've scrolled to where I want to be, and then once I close the pop up, I find I'm back at the top of the page again.

Having said that, I just now opened the site on my iPad, and nary a pop up showed. Weird.

I understand the necessity of ads on BWW.  I've seen sites that are much worse, where it seems like the ad content has just about overtaken the content of the site itself. Oh, and -- haven't noticed this type here so far, knock wood -- but, overlays, my gosh, y'all, the overlays on some (other) sites, it's crazy.
