I've sent to many shows on Bway that have opened this past season and have heard back from Fiddler (cast signed Playbill - no donation asked), She Loves Me (cast signed Playbill - no donation asked), SOR (letter asking for a $25 donation), Lion King (cast signed Playbill with a lovely letter thanking me for my interest in the show), and Les Mis (cast signed Playbill - no donation asked).
However I also wrote to the following and have yet to receive any type of response:
Waitress, On Your Feet, Something Rotten, Matilda, Aladdin, Wicked, + BOM
If you've written to these shows and have had success, I'd love to know. Even if you haven't heard back or were asked for a donation that would be great. Thanks! :)

To avoid all the older posts in the original thread, all you have to do is click on the "last comment" in the main page to get to the last page. But the fact that the thread is over 10 years old makes it a super resource for which people have written back and which shows require a donation.
