Did anyone see him the last time around in 2012?

I saw Frankie Valli perform live 2 years ago, and unfortunately I was close enough to notice that 90% of all songs were lipsynced, I don't know if this will fly by on Broadway...

If he lypsyncs on Broadway, that would make Al Pacino's performance look Tony Winning in China Doll

After going tonight, either Frankie Valli is the best sounding 82 year old singer on the planet or he lip-synced...

His voice also doesn't match his movements...Looking at him, he would sway side by side, appearing like he could possibly collapse at any moment. Yet, his voice was booming...

That said, even lip singing, the show was enjoyable...The majority of the crowd were die hards and left happy...

IMO - you might as well save the money and listen to the records if the "live" performance was really not live - lol

Well IMO that's a little harsh. Maybe his fans just wanted to see an icon in person. I have no idea if he lip synced or not but he's 82 and still putting on a show. There are not too many 82 year olds who could do that in any format. If the fans left happy why should they just stay home and listen to the music?

I saw him today at Lunt Fontaine, Weds matinee. Great show all around. I've watched enough past concert footage to know that he does a riff about Sinatra, how he wanted to get into show biz cause women threw things at Sinatra on stage and he pauses, looks around to see if anyone throws anything. I was prepared and i threw something cute up there. He didn't even see it! the 4 seasons guys were pointing and so was the audience and he just didn't see it or didn't want to. What a waste! Also, he typically walks the length of the stage and shakes hands during his encore Let's Hang On, but at the Lunt Fontaine with that wide pit between front and the stage, he could not do it. I was so disappointed. I bought front row $$ just for that. After the show some douche outside who though he was king of the barricades was SCREAMING at me to move back even though I couldn't, I was not blocking the pathway at all....i explained to him the woman in back of me was right up against me and since she wouldn't move, I couldn't move -- he kept screaming at me and caused quite a scene but never said a word to the young gal in back of me, even though it was obvious she was plastered up against me. I didn't pay $252 plus fees to be screamed at like that, i don't know if he's employed by Lunt or Frankie's team, but somebody is getting a terse letter from me. Wasn't like i was trying to jump the barricade or hurt anyone, I am hardly a wild teenager. I am middle aged for god's sake, How do you talk to a woman like that who is just minding her business? Frankie came out the stage door only signed a couple of autographs and took off, another disappointment. Someone said he had a cold. BUT even with all this crap,  I really did enjoy hearing him run through all the hits and his 4 seasons were great. The music was awesome and i could care less if he lip syncs. It seems most performers these days have SOME kind of vocal assistance on stage. And the man is 82, i give him credit for doing all these shows every day. Even if he's just standing holding a microphone...when I am 82 i will barely be able to get out of bed.

Your $252 plus fees does not include a personal meet & greet at the stage door.

He puts on a fantastic show. 82 years old and performing for over 2 hours...wow.

I attended the show over the weekend and waited at the stage door. He came out maybe 45 minutes later and signed for LOADS of people. Close to 100 people were waiting at the stage door and he signed for maybe 60% of them and took about 25 minutes to do so. He didn't talk a lot while signing but seemed genuine when he did. I looked across to the Richard Rodgers and he drew more of a stage door crowd than Hamilton after the Sunday matinee!

That's not what I said and that's not the point, TAG.  I did not deserve to be menaced for standing in a spot that was clearly acceptable. People to my left and right were not told to move. We were in the appropriate area. Was not trying to meet and greet anymore than the fans normally do at the stage door. This guy was on power trip, plain and simple.

You paid for the show, not the stage door.

Also, please, use some paragraph breaks.

loveinnewyorkcity, you were very fortunate..somebody there said he had a cold so that's understandable that he didn't want to hang around.

I've always found most stage door security guards to be nice and reasonable and considering that Frankie's show is a limited run its more likely the person you dealt with is specifically assigned for Frankie or with him.

I did find the crowd to get rowdy once Frankie walked out. Everyone was very pushy. I found the audience to be generally rude that night.

Also, photographs and videos were apparently allowed at his show, even when people had the flash turned on the whole time and were blinding the other patrons around them. The nearby usher was more into the show than stopping rude audience members from disrupting others.

Our crowd was well behaved even when he came out. He signed about 6 autographs then bolted.

Actually for $252 plus fees at a regular theater or performing center, would have included a meet and greet and autographed picture.  When he performed in the city where I live, a couple of years ago, that package was only $150 and included the above.  If you go to alot of concerts you will notice now for the older performers as well as new, your ticket price includes a meet and greet.  It all depends on how much you are willing to spend on your ticket. Country singer Zac Brown Band even provides a catered dinner for his fans during meet and greet.

1) How do people on this board misspell a handle when it's right there in front of them? Continually? For years?

2) I didn't read it. But I didn't have to in order to see that you needed some help with formatting.

I saw Frankie live a couple years ago, and when he gets to the "big four" section of his show where he has to hit all the high notes, he switched microphones, and then switched back afterward. I was too far to tell if he was lipsyncing, or if it was a mic hooked up to something that can autotune the vocals live, but he put on a hell of a show either way. I'm sad I won't be able to catch his run here, but there's always the inevitable next Broadway week for him.
