ET , formerly with New York Post, has developed relationship with New York Times.

What do you think?

Looks like the Times scooped her up - not sure how regularly she'll be contributing but oof they didn't give her a high profile first assignment, did they? Also, it appears the Post may no longer have a regular theater critic on staff, unless I am missing on someone? If so, certainly sad news.

Is it possible that she's freelancing, or does the Times only work with staff writers?

She's a stringer. She's not replacing anyone.

"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Only the taste of blood to remind us we ever existed. The earth is small. We're gone. We're dead. We're safe." -John Guare, Landscape of the Body

Can't see the Times hiring another full time theater critic so maybe one of the other guys may be leaving. I thought she was fairly decent critic at the NY Post but  noticed her reviews were usually fairly short.

No one is leaving. They just have her doing freelance.

The NYT theater section is a boys' club anyway. Everyone on staff is male.

She was probably constrained by the Post's article length requirements. Trust me, most reviewers would love to write paragraphs and paragraphs.

Love her reviews - and glad that they're not restricted to an insanely short length anymore. Hope she continues to review for the Times

Maybe not a relationship. Just a little heavy petting.

I'm glad her distinctive critical voice will be heard again.  I truly enjoy her writing, whether or not I agree with her (which I usually do).
