The story is still developing but it appears terrorists drove a huge truck in to a crowd of people celebrating a popular holiday in France. Reports at the moment that 60 are dead and 100 injured.

My heart goes out to them, this is just terrible.

French authorities had to quash rumors of a fire at the Eiffel Tower, as well as unconfirmed reports of hostages being taken at a nearby hotel. Neither turned out to be true.

Regretfully, this type of thing will continue to happen over and over again. At some point, it will reach here. It really already has but some choose to ignore these types of things hoping they will go away.. They sing songs of love but here is a news flash - It will not stop them. The feelings of grief are fine and warranted but it will not stop these occurances  no matter how much some want them to.

For now, let us pray for the dead.

One thing being discussed is an attack on the U S power grid. There are about 9 key points that if they were hit simultaneously, the USA would go dark. It would not be fixed quickly and there would be wholesale panic. To think they are not capable of it is to seriously underestimate them. There have already been reports of attacks on some of these substations. If this happened, it might even get those of the population who are jaded and do not care to actually sit up and pay attention. Ted Koppel even wrote a book on it and it is popping up more and more in the news. These people are deadly serious and are striking out like wounded animals

I don't mean to sound awful Roxy but it's not about America right now, it's about France.

At this point it's about the whole World. Nobody seems safe anymore.

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

Well this what's happening right now is about a country that has been hit by a terror attack for the third time in under 2 years.

One by one, countries are being hit so it will hurt their tourism. Turkey now joins Egypt in that club. Bruxelles is a charter member and France may now be applying for membership. The terrorist are smart in that they are hitting them where it hurts - in the pocketbook

Local reports, which haven't been substantiated yet, are now suggesting anywhere from 80 - 100 dead. There were an estimated 20,000+ in attendance at the event. This is horrifying.

The truth is that ISIS is about to lose control of all its land in Iraq and Afghanistan--its so-called "caliphate"--due to the cooperation between Obama and Putin, oddly, and so it has to use these "lone-wolf" attacks all over the West in order to show any power.

ISIS will be destroyed--Sunnis and Shiites will unite with Russia and the West and ISIS will be destroyed, but many millions of innocents will die before that happens

They may destroy them in Iraq etc but most of these attacks are from people living in the countries they are destroying.

Which is why all of mainstream Sunni Islam must join the battle. My guess is that ISIS--which considers all non-ISIS Sunnis to be just as apostate as Shiites--will go one step too far and bomb Mecca or Medina or even the Dome of the Rock. This will be followed by a worldwide crackdown the likes of which the world has never seen, and secret police in all of the Sunni countries will root out and execute all who profess pro-ISIS leanings, making ISIS itself apostate and as illegal as the Muslim Brotherhood now is in Egypt.

The crackdowns will be as brutal as the Inquisition once was, and it will all be blamed on the West. This will mean that lone wolves will continue to attack in Europe and the US, and the perpetrators and their families will be deported to Muslim countries, where the authorities will torture and kill them until they eradicate them, resulting in the long-awaited Muslim Reformation.

All this will happen in our lifetimes, but ISIS will be destroyed.

Who emigrated to these countries from elsewhere under the EU open borders policy . It did not seem to have worked out to well for them Belgium gave them a safe haven and they came back and bit them in the ass. Same for France

Death toll is now up to 80.

The last thing we need is more war (or whatever passes for war these days). Destroy ISIS, and some other terrible thing will take its place. What we need is someone who will stop poking all the hornets' nests.

That is the way to go. Let every country take turns getting attacked. If this were the sentiment in WW 2 , we would all be speaking German now.

Let us worry about Hamilton or any other show but do an ostrich impression when it comes to dealing with the real world. Way to go.

“Shoot the dictator and prevent the war? But the dictator is merely the tip of the whole festering boil of social pus from which dictators emerge; shoot him and there'll be another one along in a minute. Shoot him too? Why not shoot everyone and invade Poland?”

Well President Obama  coddling, PC and worrying about hurt feelings is not working. This is the worst ever. The world has turned into Wild West. The more this happens, the more people are going to vote for Oompa Noompa. We need President Hilary the Hawk or Wyatt Earp to lay down the law and take out the bad people until there is none left, or at least until all the smart ones are gone.  They did it with Mafia, and its gone, or at least run by morons now.

Who are the bad people? There's no Hitler of ISIS in a bunker somewhere plotting these attacks, no load-bearing big boss who the whole operation requires. These are individuals carrying out these attacks in the name of a cause. There's no centralized enemy.

It's an ideology that's the enemy. How do you kill an ideology? How many bombs and how many soldiers does that take?
