I imagine this last week has been sort of crazy inside the theater with the last performances of the original cast. I'd love to hear about it. And anyone going tomorrow night? I bet that's 1 hellofa show.
Did we really need ANOTHER new HAMILTON thread? And to answer your question Julie, no --- no one will be at that show. It's on all of the papering services but there are no takers and they can't even give the tickets away.
Can someone point out the rule book for acceptable and unacceptable threads? I'll study up and make every effort not to offend the cool people who know right from wrong.
Here's a suggestion. If you want to create a new thread, don't use a subject line that's a question with a yes/no answer. If you MUST start a new Hamilton thread, check if there isn't already one that's very similar.
How about:
* Hamilton July 9: your experiences
* Lin/Leslie/Phillipa's last show review
Something like that. "Is anyone going to Hamilton on the 9th" is a badly phrased question. Because the answer is obvious. Why not state what you actually want to read?

Come on guys, I agree we didn't really need a new thread, but can we at least stop pretending that the OP was actually asking if any human beings would be attending the show tomorrow? Clearly she meant to ask if anyone ON THIS BOARD would be attending, the last part being implied.
I'm also interested in whether or not anyone who posts here will be at the performance on July 9th. And I'll be very interested to read the reviews.
I'm, personally, glad this topic has its own thread so I know exactly which one to read on Sunday. The other threads have become a catchall for all things Hamilton.
Anyway, it's sure to be a special night that will receive a lot of attention. I hope everyone who has the ability to be there has the time of their lives - and share it with those of us who can't be in the room where it happens...

Oh come on. The OP literally wrote : "I imagine this last week has been sort of crazy inside the theater with the last performances of the original cast."
Wow, there's a harsh crowd here! Does every subject line have to be perfectly worded? I think we all understand what she's wondering about .... I'm curious too.
Lizzie, maybe consider refocusing your energies. Your constant policing of what links people are or aren't posting and what thread is worth making is a little bizarre and you're usually rude about it. Spread positivity! We have enough nastiness in this world without rudeness on a board where people come to discuss their passions.
I am certainly interested in hearing reports of this particular performance.

"Yep. I'm going. Because I'm going to win the lottery.
I'm going. I don't imagine there will be much out of the ordinary, except perhaps an extended ovation for LMM (though I only have the Grammys to compare to) and a few speeches at the end which, will undoubtedly surface on Instagram in triplicate or more. In fact, I bet 50% of attendees will have no clue there's anything special about this particular performance.
I'm also a pt entertainment journalist, and I didn't even bother pitching a story anywhere because everything "special" is likely going to be worth little more than a tweet. They've already been getting awfully casual in performances, from what I hear, so no cute moments within the show itself are going to be newsworthy.

I am also interested in hearing how the show goes from those on this board who do attend.
For the people who are tired of new Hamilton threads and deem this one unworthy, here's an idea- don't click on posts that don't interest you. Why waste your time just to belittle others? Sheesh.
I'm considering going to the matinee. Is there anything to indicate that the entire cast won't be present for the matinee on the day of the final show?
