La Cage Aux Folles - OBC Remastered?

Does anyone know if the 2012 reissue of La Cage is remastered? The sound quality on the original cd is terrible and just saw this was reissued in 2012? Anyone know if it's a remastering or just a repackaging of the original cd pressing?

I don't know the answer to your questions but an interesting bit of trivia... wasn't La Cage the first original cast recording in history to be recorded digitally in the studio?

The 2012 re-release IS remastered but honestly I don't think it sounds much better though the sound levels are much higher (you can barely hear the original CD.

I believe the 1979 revival of Oklahoma! was recorded digitally, but no mention of it made it to the original LP packaging. La Cage touted the digital recording prominently on the LP packaging. Both were RCA recordings.
