I'm just wondering how the view is for partial view. I know on the left side you miss the kitchen but besides that is there anything else that is missed?
I'm really only speaking for what I've heard others say, but it seems that you don't miss anything but a few ensemble members walking on and off stage for a little bit, so you should be fine
We just saw Waitress with one seat in partial view and one not (side by side seats ). And yes, just as you say... you just miss part of the kitchen scenes. For the $60 savings, but yet still being able to sit close, I think it's worth it.
I had a seat on the far left side in the orchestra in the second row and, not going to lie, I hated it. Having seen it once before from a box (which was actually fantastic), I couldn't help but feel I was missing a ton of the side action both in the kitchen as well as background stuff with the ensemble and whoever wasn't in the foreground of the scene, basically. Avoid if possible.
I'm just going to say my experience for anyone that will see this later. I ended up just buying the partial view seat because I didn't want to do SRO, and for some reason the box office was selling it for $79 instead of $109 so I went ahead and did it. I was row H. It really wasn't that bad. I was able to see half of the kitchen actually, so I only missed the things that happened at the very end of the kitchen. I think it would have been better to sit on the left side, but the right was still pretty good.
Does anyone know if they take the partial view seats off ticketmaster the a day before performance? I've been keeping my eye out for tomorrow and there were about 8 or 9 this morning that are now "sold" but thinking they take them off for the $79 day of.
