Instead of discussing mundane things such as those now on off topic, can we take a moment of silence for those lives lost in the Turkish Airport bombing ?Cannot believe people are that blaise about it so soon after the last one. We can now cross off another country people will be afraid to visit.

Turkey has had quite a few terrorist attacks  especially since 2015.  If they weren't already on the short list of countries not to visit, this latest attack should cement the diminish of their tourist business.  I did a tour of Turkey five years ago.  Just a beautiful country.  I remember many people asking me why I was visiting Turkey.  "What's there to see?"  I had to give them a history lesson.  Such a shame.  Like Egypt, (which remains my top place I have visited) these are countries which have had their tourist interest/dollars severely declined by these attacks.  Along with the murders, that is the terrorists plan to hurt them anyway they can.

There is only so much the West can do to eradicate ISIS and its spreading ideology, either with military force or "changing the hearts and minds," especially when the fundamentalist ideology itself is fostered in different ways by our so-called allies in Saudi Arabia, Iran, and Bahrain.

But a coalition of Turkey and Egypt--perhaps with Turkey's renewed ally Israel--could change the game.

The one thing that is most true about the Middle East is that all power is fluid. Only the land remains the same.

One of the few issues we agree on. I think the country most threatening to America's future is Saudi Arabia with their funding of foreign wars and radical Wahhabism, which is conveniently overlooked because of our and our allies' continued dependence on their oil; albeit less so in recent years. They are propagating atrocities all over the world but never held accountable by America or any other Western civilization. It's horrific.

You are so right Mr Roxy.  God Bless all those affected.

I thought I remember hearing that ISIS was contained though. So sorry they are back.

Despite what many want to believe , they never left. It is only a matter of time before it happens here. It is only going to get worse but regretfully many still have their head in the sand about them. In the grand scheme of things, Broadway is not as important as many seem obsessed with.

You're aware this is a Broadway message board, right? Like, a message board specifically created for people to discuss Broadway-related topics? You know that's the primary purpose and intention of this website, right?

In the grand scheme of things, art is every bit as important.

As Leonard Bernstein wrote after the assassination of John F. Kennedy,

This will be our reply to violence: to make music more intensely, more beautifully, more devotedly than ever before.
