How likely are the chances of  War Paint transferring to Broadway? I'm debating on whether I should buy a ticket to see it in Chicago, or just wait and see it when it comes to New York. Thanks!

with a cast and creative team like it has, it would have to be an outright disaster to not transfer, I'd say.

Even if it is terrible, no one would turn down the chance to see Patti and Christine on the same stage, and it would still sell.

There is slightly conflicting reports - someone claimed it was transferring but a recent radio broadcast with the composer said nothing was confirmed yet but the goal is to transfer.

With this team, cast, high sales and (hopefully) good reviews, surely a transfer would be likely though.
