When it comes to someone we haven't seen in awhile- Aaron Tveit.

When it comes to a debut I'd love to see- Michael Fassbender.

Post your choices if you feel inclined to.

I want to see Raúl Esparza on Broadway again, as well as Sutton Foster. But in terms of film people, I'd love to see Benedict Cumberbatch on Broadway. I know he does a lot of London and West End theater, and I'd like to see him come here and do something.

Audra McDonald in Shuffle Along

but seriously though I would like to see Jared Leto in a straight play. Something the likes of requiem for a dream turned into a stage production would be fantastic

This is a very common subject for a thread. There have been quite a few threads on this topic since I started following this board. HOWEVER, I'll bite anyway because what the hell? Maybe putting it into the universe will make it happen.

--Christoph Waltz - the big one that always comes to my mind first. I would LOVE to see him onstage.

--Julie Andrews (would love for her to return to Broadway in a non-singing role)

--John Cleese

--Emma Watson

--Geoffrey Rush

--Emma Thompson

Probably many more, but those are the people who came to mind.

Agree about both Tveit and Fassbender.  I don't know if Fassbender has ever done stage, but I bet he'd be electric.  And considering the ratings for BrainDead, Tveit's schedule may clear up soon.

Speaking of X-Men, I wish James McAvoy would come to Broadway.  It would save me the expense of flying to London every other year.

I want Reba McEntire to come back! She was brilliant in Annie Get Your Gun, and would love to see her do something else!

He actually started out his career on the stage (like so many other actors).

Daniel Day-Lewis needs to return to the stage. Preferably in Lear when he gets older, or maybe as Ivanov

I'd love to see Brendan Gleeson on stage. Heck, I would love for Domhnall Gleeson to return.

I'd love to see some Kevin Spacey on Broadway. I think he'd make a pretty big box office draw as well.

Helena Bonham Carter in an Albee play.  I think she would kill as Martha in Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?

Wow, I never put 2 and 2 together. I had no idea Brendan Gleeson is Domhnall Gleeson's father.

I'd like to see "stars" that respect the boards and don't come here when their careers are over or just to win an award.

Catherine O'Hara, the muse of Christopher Guest, is whatever she chooses.  I proposed her for Dottie in "Noises Off" and  Hannegan, and I proposed her for not remotely obvious fits, Claire in "Delicate Balance."  Her humor is brilliant because it's grounded in emotional reality.  Watch her in "Mighty Wind," she doesn't even play it as comedy, the comedy happens around her.  I'm of the mind she could do just about anything.

They should also be able to learn all their lines and not cheat by using earpieces nor teleprompters during a performance like Al Pacino, Bruce Willis, and Forest Whitaker.

Without a doubt! I would jump at the chance to see her on stage.
