Hello,

I might be attending the final matinee of If/Then's Philadelphia's stop on Sunday. Has anybody stage doored a matinee of the tour recently? Would love to meet Jackie Burns and Anthony Rapp. I remember it was a mess when it was on Broadway with Idina. Thanks

I went on Tuesday night to see the show and the stage door was tame, a little clustered in terms of small clumps of people all over, but tame compared to the mess of Broadway. Both Anthony and Jackie came out, signed, and from what I could tell took photos as well. Not sure how different the matinee stage door is in terms of who comes out, but very rarely do the stage doors here in Philadelphia get too rowdy.

Thanks,I've never been to the Academy so I don't know what to expect.Where is the stage door there? My friend went on Tuesday and I know she got signatures from Jackie and Anthony but I'm not sure if she got pictures. I've stage doored a few Broadway shows including Carly Rae Jepsen in Cinderella so I know all the ropes of that...

The Academy stage door is on Locust Street and it depends on which way you exit after the show. If you exit from the front of the theatre, you will come down the steps to the left, and it'll be down the block from there. If you're coming out the side of the building, it'll be down the block to your right.

I saw a few people get photos, and I believe they were with Jackie and Anthony. Tour stage doors are tame by comparison, in fact - The Forrest Theatre (another theatre in Philly)'s stage door is in an alley behind the theatre and a lot of people miss it.

Thanks.I've been to the Kimmel Center a few times and have been past the Academy so I think I know where that is. Chris Mann who currently stars in the Phantom Of The Opera tour (Shamefully after it came to Philly) seems to come out every night and it looks pretty tame from the photos I've seen.

Very rarely does it get too crazy, it usually is very cluster/clumpy in that people sort of stand in clusters/clumps on each side of the doors. I've seen many shows at the Academy and gone to stage door after many of them, and very few have used barricades - Spring Awakening did and Wicked has in the past, but aside from those its mostly as I mentioned clusters and clumps.

Thanks for the advice.I winded up getting 3rd row 50% off tickets to the evening show with a discount code but I winded up meeting with a friend at the stage door who went to the matinee. I arrived only minutes after everybody left. She said only Anthony Rapp,Janine Divita,Tamarya Gray, and Kyra Faith came out briefly since the evening show was at 6:30.

I stage doored after the evening show and every principal except Matthew Hydzik came out .Tamarya Gray came out first and signed .I told her I'm a big Idol fan and thought she should've gone farther. She seemed impressed that I knew she was on there since I was a little too young to watch her season. She said she'd go around again for selfies but never did. Janine Divita, Marc Delacruz,Jaques Smith, and Kyra Faith came out after her and signed/took selfies with everybody.Janine remembered my Instagram comment from the day before. Then,Anthony Rapp was right in front of me and I was starstruck .I told him he's one of my favorite actors and he seemed gracious. Trucks were loading so he told everyone to move a few feet away to the street pole. Most of the crowd seemed to be waiting for him and left after he left.  Jackie Burns and Alicia Tomasko(Who was the only ensemble member to come out) came out last with Jackie's dog. They stayed the longest and made sure to have a conversation with every person there. I told Jackie I saw some videos of her before the show and that she sounded better than Idina and she also  seemed super gracious for the support. The show ended around 9:15 after a 6:30 showtime and I left the stage door bat around 9:45 when Jackie and Alicia left.  People were still waiting there so maybe others came out. .

I know If/Then isn't a favorite on the board but I thought it was amazing live. There was a few times where I couldn't tell if it was the Liz or Beth storyline but I caught it later on. I watched the bootleg (oops) a while back so I did understand it better seeing it live. I noticed a few lines were changed and  a good portion of "A Map Of New York" was taken out but there wasn't much taken out besides that. I also loved the new projector screen as the background. Jackie was amazing as Elizabeth and you won['t be disappointed at all. She's even better than Idina. Matthew Hydzik's "Hey Kid" made me cry and he's perfect in the Josh role.Anthony Rapp is still as amazing and talented as he was 20 years ago in RENT and even sounds better live. Him  and Marc Delacruz had great chemistry as Lucas and David and I loved their "Best Worst Mistake" . Tamarya Gray is just as awesome as Lachanze and Janine Divita has a great voice as Anne .She probably is amazing when she covers Elizabeth which I only think has happened two times so far during Idina's scheduled days off since I don't think Jackie' has called out yet...I loved Jacques Smith's interpretation of Steven. He's Austin Smith from Hamilton's uncle. Kyra Faith was great as Elena too and the ensemble was on top of their game. I know there's not even two months left of the tour but go see it if it comes to your city! I promise you won't regret it.

Jackie hasn't called out yet. Janine was on way more than 2 times for Idina. I was there on Sat for both shows and didn't see Anthony. I thought his understudy was amazing although I had nothing to compare him to since I never saw the show before.

I knew she was on  at least two times during Idina's run if not more. I know Anthony was out for both shows on Saturday.I hear he rarely calls out.I thought he was incredible as ever on Sunday.  He's on the original cast recording with Idina if you want to hear him in the role.

Well I'm glad he seems okay now. He was on fire on Sunday. He's such a talented performer and seems like a great person. Hope you'll get to see him someday..
