I'm guessing it will close in September. It's been on TDF a lot lately, and I can't imagine them trying to push through a slow September/October when it's never been a show that saw a big holiday season bump like so many others. They've had a great run as it is, and closing at the end of the summer would be nothing to be ashamed of.
I agree, sadly: Labor Day weekend will likely be their last.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?

Speaking of TDF for this show, does anyone have knowledge of where the seats are? I'm looking to bring a friend next week but am wary of where they might put us for the show.

I was in the 400s but the curved portion, not the section directly behind the band (though that's where I was when I won the lotto). I've sat all around that theater and honestly the only section I really didn't like were the 100s.

It's never going to make it to January 2018.

LOL....when I first read it, I assumed they had written 2017. I need to work on my close reading skills.

"Southern Comfort" never really sold out at the Public. You could buy seats at the end. It was mildly praised in the Times, yet seems a dubious prospect for an extended B' way run; even 800 seats are not easy to fill. But from the look at the FH houses now, September may be wishful thinking, alas. It probably hasn't been breaking even in recent weeks, or just barely.

Also in re: Southern Comfort- it didn't have great word of mouth, either. Even the (often generous) Show Score audience aggregate places it at 74- a resounding "it's okay."
"...everyone finally shut up, and the audience could enjoy the beginning of the Anatevka Pogram in peace."
I'm going to make a plug for Amelie at Circle, which is tentative to open next spring. Mostly because I really really really want Fun Home to pull through till Jan 2018.

I am praying that this makes it through to the last date they have on sale currently. I bought tickets to the last performance they're selling tickets for since I will already be in town. This show means so much to me and if it is going to close I would love to be there at closing.
