It may be repetitive after Jennifer Dinoia, but I would love Carmen to finally be in wicked on Broadway. I could see her as Fanny Brice in a Funny Girl revival or maybe Lucille if a parade revival ever happens. I suggested this in another thread, but I could see her doing the king and I tour similar to how she did the South Pacific one. I would even pay a million dollars just to see her read a dictionary.

YES.

Also, if it's still running by the time Jill Paice leaves, I'd love to see her return to the role of Milo (which she played in a workshop) in American in Paris.

Diana in Next To Normal is a great choice. I think I can see her being tapped as Jenna replacement for Waitress. A few years down the line, she'd be fantastic for Helen Bechdel in Fun Home revival. I think a few years ago, she'd have been a really good Oldest Allison. Also, Sister Sarah Brown in Guys & Dolls.

Damn, I was literally just thinking today about a role she'd be great in, but for the life of me I can't remember what it was. Until I think of it, here are 3 other roles I'd love to see her in:

Sally Bowles

Roxy Hart

Miss Honey

I could also see her as a replacement for Mueller in Waitress, but I hope bigger and better projects come her way. Hope she has a long career ahead of her. She is something special.

I really hope to see her again soon. Her voice is excellent and is such a nice and lovely woman, I met her after seeing the show on Sat night and could not have been any more friendly, outgoing, down to earth, and appreciative. A true class act she is. I cannot say enough about her.

I don't care what.....but I'm pretty likely to buy a ticket - well, that alone wouldn't get me to buy a ticket, but I'd consider whatever she's involved with more seriously.  I thought she was absolutely wonderful in Bright Star.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

I will see her in anything now until the end of days. She is generally LA-based so I fear we may lose her for a while, but hopefully she will return.

She played Dot/Marie in Sunday in the Park at Chicago Shakespeare and I am certain I would sell my first born for a chance to see her reprise it.

But again, I'd see her in anything from here on out. So disappointed to see Bright Stat shutter, as I'm sure she is as well, but it has given her the kind of exposure she's likely dreamt of for years. She's a star and I am thrilled that everyone else now knows it.

This is obscure, I know, but thinking outside of the box: I'd genuinely love to see Carmen as Lana Del Rey in a musical based on Del Rey's life with her music as the score. The way she can effortless play a teenager while also playing thirty is magical, and Lana's early life is so tragic, it's begging to be put on stage or screen. Less obscure, I'd love to see her as Annie Oakley, although that's such a safe choice for someone like her. Mrs. Lovett is one that jumps out at me, definitely.

Julie Jordan or even Nettie. She is so versatile in age she can literally play little eponine perfectly.

I can't believe I'm about to say this....but bear with me.

Ok, we all know she's one of THE most versatile vocalists since ever, she's got pipes for days. She can soprano it up and belt up a storm (like actual power belt, her doing Elphaba proves this), she obviously reads a lot of ages and is gorgeous as hell. I haven't seen her live yet, but lucky me is going to the Bright Star closing....YYEESSSSS. Everyone says she's something special and has 'it'. Moving on.

Imagine, if you will, that she has blonde hair...I came to the thought recently that her and Betsy Wolfe look quite similar, they both are are more 'striking and angular' and heck even sound somewhat similar. The headshots they seem to use most got me to think this.

Yes....ladies and gents, if for whatever outlandish reason Betsy didn't/isn't continuing with Frozen (not likely right now really, I know, especially since the Lopez's love her but still, producers are under no legal stricture to keep her if someone else is found, I'm just talking legalities here), can Elsa go to Carmen?? They both read the same age too. Betsy is absolutely right for it, in fact it was one of those 'DUH' castings that I wonder how it couldn't have happened since she's been involved with it for quite a while (she almost was Elsa in the film actually), plus I knew that rumor was floating around, so I knew it would happen, but even now, I get more of a sense of regal grace in Carmen, which makes her just as right, if not more, for this than Betsy.

I have NO issue whatsoever with Betsy if she continues with it, but if she somehow, some way, does not...I'm petitioning for Carmen as Elsa. You all know you want to hear her sing that beast  of a song now, don't lie. Heaven knows I do.

As convincing as Carmen is playing an insane array of ages, she is too old to be cast as Elsa. The snow queen is supposed to be, what, 21? Carmen is in her 40s. They simply wouldn't cast a woman in her 40s for this role.

But my lord what I wouldn't give to hear her sing Let it Go.

That is the role Patti LuPone was born to play.

I wonder if she can lose her accent. I've seen her in three shows: Carrie, South Pacific and Bright Star and she always had that twang (appropriate for two out of the three).

How about Mona in the Whorehouse Revival? She has the earthy appeal to charm in that.

Re: her accent. You happened to see her in three shows in which an accent was either required or suitable. She has also played Elphaba, Fantine, Christine in Phantom, and Dot/Marie in Sunday in the Park. Check out some clips online (they're out there)-- not so much as a trace of the southern drawl. Her versatility just astounds me to no end.

I do wonder what's next for her! I hope she doesn't disappear after this. If Broadway producers were smart, they'd all be scrambling to get her into their upcoming shows!
