The Humans seating question#1

Hmmmm.....was looking to catch The Humans this weekend and noticed there are some "regularly priced" tickets for only $50 in the orchestra.   They are the the end seats of the first few rows.

Any warnings?

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

The Humans stage is two levels so you can't see what goes on on the top level from the first few rows. I sat on end of first row and we could see the actors standing on the edge of the top level, but couldn't see them if they stood farther back. However you don't really miss anything and can still hear everything.

You also can't see what happens through the open door . . . that is if anything happens there . . . when you're off to the side

I sat in those. Great for downstairs, but you'll miss most of the action upstairs. You'll hear it clearly but miss nuances in acting. Mezz is best for this show. You'll also miss the action in the door at the back which is the what most people discuss

"The sexual energy between the mother and son really concerns me!"-random woman behind me at Next to Normal "I want to meet him after and bang him!"-random woman who exposed her breasts at Rock of Ages, referring to James Carpinello

I sat house right in the Mezz next to the last row, second seat off the aisle. Perfect view of everything.

I’m looking at a few different options for this show, and I was wondering what everyone thought would be best:

Orchestra Far House Left (somewhere between row F and row K)

These are listed as limited view seats, but just how limited is the view?

Do you miss a lot on the house left side of the stage?

How far back should you sit to avoid missing the action on the second level, and at what point would the mezzanine overhang get in the way?

Rear Mezzanine Center

Is this too far away to really appreciate the performances?  I have a visual impairment, and I am concerned that I’ll miss a lot of the details in spite of having a full view of the set.

So, I guess the question is this: Are the details and nuances in the performance more important than having a full view, or is it crucial to the show to be able to see the entire set?

Thanks for your help!

Hey -

I saw the show last evening and I would encourage you to take a seat in the mezz.  You don't want to miss what take place on the 2nd level.

I was in row G mezz and so thankful I spent the extra 50 instead of sitting in partial view below.

Its a helluva show.   Enjoy!

Hi.  Has anyone sat in the partial view mezzanine extreme side seats?  I purchased a  50 ticket for the far right mezz and am wondering how much of a partial view I might have.  Unfortunately, I purchased before I realized there was a playbill discount.  Any thoughts on this seat?
