Now the three families have been revealed what are peoples thoughts on the casting:

Jamie Parker - Harry Potter - I love Jamie's haunted look in these photos. From a looks perspective the casting is spot on. He looks the appropriate age for the character. 19 years after the events in the Deathly Hallows Harry should be about 37. I think the costume is great and you can tell with these images that Harry hasn't forgotten his past.

Poppy Miller - Ginny Potter - The look is just right for Ginny. Of all the casting so far this is my favourite from these images. Ginny looks fierce, but an ordinary mum at the same time. There is an element of Mrs Weasley to the pose but she's still young. Ginny should be approximately 36 at the beginning of the play which looks totally believable.

Paul Thornley - Ron Weasley - This casting I am not overly enthused about. He just isn't ginger enough for my liking. Yes, red hair fades overtime! But Ron in the books is described as having vividly ginger orange hair. Also Paul in my opinion is too old for the part. He looks to be mid forties rather than mid to late thirties. Perhaps the storyline of the play is set over a number of years, therefore this could be more believable on stage. Hopefully he will bring the fun element of Ron over on the stage.

Noma Dumezweni - Hermione Granger - Originally I wasn't the biggest fan of this casting as the image I had in my head of Hermione from the books and movies was the Emma Watson girl. The middle class white brown haired English girl. However, the intensity from Noma in these images really gives the impression that she knows what Hermione is all about. I love the costume. It looks stylish, otherworldly almost but still matter of fact. The criticism I have here is again Noma looks older than the actors playing Harry and Ginny.

Alex Price - Draco Malfoy - Just wow! This is excellent casting and the costume is superb. Draco has morphed into Lucius. In my opinion the age is just right and the long ponytail a nice touch.

Sam Clemmett, Cherrelle Skeete & Athony Boyle - Albus Severus Potter, Rose Granger-Weasley & Scorpius Malfoy - The Hogwarts robes look awesome, but for this to be believable I will need to suspend my belief regarding the ages of the actors. Why are twenty something year olds playing 11 year olds? Again perhaps the play will be set over a number of years, therefore the characters will mature. I am hoping this is the case as at the moment they are a little too old. However, great attention to detail from the casting directors in picking actors who match the characters parents. The glint from Albus, the grin from Rose and the scared look from Scorpius really gives you an insight into their character.

Overall I cannot wait for this play! Yes, I may have some small criticisms of the actors but at this stage all I have is a few photos. I am sure JK Rowling and the Creative Team know what they are doing.

I just need to avoid every spoiler I can until I see the play live in September!!!!!

What do other people think of the cast so far? Does anyone have any suggestions on which character other members of the cast will portray? We still don't know who will be James Potter, Teddy Lupin, Neville Longbottom, Luna Lovegood, Molly Weasley... The list goes on! Here's a link to the cast:

How much official information do you think will be released during previews?

I hope people are respectful and dont blatantly post spoilers without warnings!

Every effort is being made to remind people to  Keep The Secret.

JK herself has taken to Twitter and other social media in a video to ask people to not reveal the plot or spoil the surprises for others.

As you say, if people are unable to keep the secret then at least let people know in advance that the post will contain spoilers.
