They did a damn good job of ridding the comics of their 90's-ness and still keeping the spirit of the thing.  Certainly ups the bar for violence on basic cable.  It meandered a bit on its pilot (frankly, so did the comic), but I'm still excited to see where this could go.  And the Scientology joke was bloody priceless.

Anyone watch?

Big dropping of the ball on AMC's part:  Airing it opposite GAME OF THRONES.  Dumb move.

"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.” ~ Muhammad Ali

I've never read the comic, but I really liked the pilot episode.

Maybe my not having read the comic is an advantage?  Not sure.

Looking forward to more.  I hate having to wait an extra week for the second episode, but maybe a repeat of the pilot will allow the show to find a larger audience.
