I had no idea PBS did an American Masters did this piece! The queen acting teacher of them all. I had never seen this footage of her teaching (a baby-faced Mark Ruffalo gets his ass handed to him around the 5:00 mark). GD, I love Youtube!!

I audited one class with her and one class with Uta Hagen, and I had friends who studied with both. (Separately.)

Those women did not just teach acting--they taught living.

Can't speak to Stella....but I took the most amazing class with Uta, when I was just a young'un. Amazing experience.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.
