From reading reviews and from a friend at the festival, the lineup seems to be pretty incredible this year.

Awards are being announced right now.

Andrea Arnold's American Honey won the Jury Prize

Shahab Hosseini won Best Actor for Asghar Fahardi's The Salesman

Jaclyn Jose won Best Actress for Brillante Mendoza's Ma' Rosa

Best Screenplay went to Asghar Fahardi for The Salesman

Best Director has tied with Cristian Mungiu for Graduation and Olivier Assayas for Personal Shopper

The Grand Prix goes to Xavier Dolan for It's Only the End of the World (his second Grand Prix in a row). Which I am really surprised by because a lot of people have told me the movie is pretty bad.

And the Palme D'Or goes to Ken Loach's I, Daniel Blake
