The Andrew. Lloyd Webber and Julian Fellowes hit Broadway rock Musical School of Rock based on the Jack Black film of the same name is coming to the New. London Theatre in mid October of this year.
So for all you fans of classic traditional old fashioned musicals like Phantom and Sound of Music. Sorry to disappoint you here. Yes we in the UK are getting another new Rock musical and another theatre show based on a film.
No casting news as of yet.
I think this will be ALW biggest West End hit in years.

The US Cast Recording is really good. In my head I'm picturing Killian Donnelly in the lead.

I would LOVE if Alex Brightman came over with this! A lot of people have asked him on twitter but he hasn't responded. (He 'liked' some of the tweets asking, though, which gives me hope.)

I have know idea who will be in the cast for the UK production. I would think it will be a UK cast of West End stars and no star casting.

Well now that Killian is performing in Dublin when this opens- I'm fresh out of ideas!
I do hope theres no stunt casting.

Saw it last weekend on Broadway and it was fantastic !! Alex Brightman was worth the price of admission and the kids in the band are amazing. I hope the cast in London will be as good as the Broadway cast.
