I loved it ! It makes perfect sense that it was aired on LOGO in the U.S. I watched it with friends who moved here from the U.K., so they explained the whole going ons of it all. They said the U.S. commentators were on par with Graham. Hysterical! Now I can't wait for next years! BTW I did not care for the song that won. I was pulling for Russia and Australia.

I've been following it for a few years. It was a great show. They really improved the production values and I liked the way they split up the popular vote to make things more dramatic. I didn't hate the Russian song but I'm surprised it put up such a good fight. Same for Sweden, though I did dislike that one. Aside from that, a lot of my favorites placed well including my pick to win Ukraine and Australia which was in my top 5.

Russia piggy-backed on the Mans Zelmerlow performance from last year, but I really thought it was the one major standout this year and was my favorite.  And I'm sort of surprised France didn't place higher.  Hey GuyfromGermany!  Being originally from Texas, you know my favorite entry from Germany is still No No Never from 2006!  Eurovision Song Contest  I did think this was mostly tame compared to years past, but The Grey People performance was stunning and that Love Love Peace Peace song had me ROARING.  The HIGHLIGHT of the entire show!  If you get a chance to see Eurovision going back to at least 2004, you would catch most of the references.  2004 was my first Eurovision experience and Ruslana's Wild Dances is still my favorite winning song (the very first reference in the Love Love Peace Peace song).  Oh!  And seeing Alexander Rybak with his violin again had gave me goosebumps.

PS - I've been a fan of Mans Zelmerlow since his Barcelona Sessions album and I'd be fine with him hosting anything every day.  *sigh*

First year watching the show this year, although it apparently has a large following in my country. I was surprised at the somewhat frivolous/trashy quality of the songs. But it was entertaining.

I still don't understand why Australia is part of it lol, but that performance was my favourite (I know I'm biased, but the judges seemed to agree).

I'm curious about your "bias". Are you Australian? If so, you know how popular Eurovision is in Australia! I don't have a ton of Australian friends, but when Eurovision comes around, it's a major focus of our emails.

Australia was first invited to participate last year (the 60th anniversary) as an honored guest because of how popular the contest has been with Australians for decades. Australia also has very strong ties with Europe (both culturally, and as part of the Commonwealth). Because of those close ties, and the popularity of Eurovision with Australians, Eurovision invites Australia back, like a good friend, to join the fun.

The last time I watched was the year Rybak won. I love the camp, but the judging takes way too long!
